Beth Moore using Marxist, feminist, social-justice talking points?
‚ÄúEvangelicalism‚Äôs newfound obsession with the notion of ‚Äúsocial justice‚ÄĚ is a significant shift ‚ÄĒ and I‚Äôm convinced it‚Äôs a shift that is moving many people (including some key evangelical leaders) off message, and onto a trajectory that many other movements and denominations have taken before, always with spiritually disastrous results,‚ÄĚ said Pastor John MacArthur, who has spoken about the dangers of ‚Äúsocial justice.‚ÄĚ
Social justice divides people and tells them their identity is in different groups, but the Bible tells us that our identity is in Jesus Christ. The message of Christianity is unity, as in the book of Ephesians: ‚ÄúThere is one body and one Spirit ‚ÄĒ just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call.‚ÄĚ...
Jim, I object strenuously to the extremely racist comment you posted. Why do you insist on calling black people ‚ÄúAfrican American‚ÄĚ while calling white people ‚Äúwhite‚ÄĚ? The only possibility explanation is that you are a racist, a black supremacist with a heart full of hatred. Your European-American Friend, Tim

This is an internet news forum that posts up religious and worldly news. By no stretch of the imagination could it be deemed a corporate worship and teaching service that glorifies GOD. It is used as a social media outlet where everyone male and female are free to express their views from politics to religion, nothing more and nothing less.
HerbalMama for what is worth, this is not church in the sense theres pastors, elders, deacons & the rest of the trimmings. But a gathering of the saints, whom are sharing & conversing about a wide variety if subjects. So your opinions are no less valuable than the next, just are they relevant & biblically based?
Good question and thanks for asking. I have given some thought to women and the SA forum. I came to the conclusion that since men are available to correct anything a woman writes or for that matter the things that men write then I have no problem with women posting on SA. IOW, if let’s say there is a woman’s retreat. I would disagree with that because it is indeed a church in spite of the fact there are no men normally there. Women are the leaders.
SA is a forum and you could argue it is a church setting since it is a fellowship of believers. But, there is no woman or for that matter no men who post who are considered our teachers or leaders. This thought is somewhat cloudy and vague ‚Äď sorry. Women can understand scripture as well as men, but being a teacher or leader in their own minds is not the role God assigned to them.
I only object when women try to take a leadership role on this forum. IOW, as you have noticed I am very much against evangelical feminists. That is where someone attempts to us scripture to justify their feminist behavior.
As you have also probably noticed, this subject is one that is very important to me. I have no problem with women or their thoughts on scripture as long as they don’t do it as evangelical feminists.
Not picking a fight, Frank, because I happen to agree with Scripture (and you) on women not teaching men. I'm trying to understand your position farther in regards to sermonaudio. If you argue every gathering together of the saints is church does that mean here is church and us women should not be debating here?
John for JESUS wrote: I think someone like Beth Moore becomes an issue because of all of the divisions within churches now a days. You used to go to church and all would gather in the same place to hear the pastor preach God's Word. Now people are herded into groups to hear specialized sermons. There's usually an elderly group, a ladies group, singles group, married group, divorced group, etc. and all of these groups tend to have a "leader" like themselves to represent them. So a ladies group often times has a lady teacher/preacher. Then they go to the main worship service in their little group instead than being as one body, they are somewhat divided. The pastor ask Beth to come up and speak about the women's ministry and the next thing you know a lady is preaching to the congregation.
Good comment. And IMO, the below explains perfectly the consequence.
Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Upon further contemplation of this subject. When we attended SBC ‚Äėchurches‚Äô the leadership we‚Äôre promoting BM and her sorcery in all their Sunday School classes and home Bible studies. So it was the MEN who brought in this Jezebel and her teachings and were oh sooo enamored with her.ūü§∑‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ. Plenty of blame on both sides of the fence.

Good comment! And let me just add that if she preached a spiritual message according to the word of God, she still shouldn’t teach women or men.
If women are gathered together, isn‚Äôt that still a church? Many of the evangelical feminists on this forum will say: yes the women still constitute a church, but it is okay because the bible says ‚Äúteach men‚ÄĚ. That would be the same as saying it is okay to use heroin because the word heroin is not used in scripture.
They compartmentalize scripture and that is what gives the Beth Moore’s of this world credence. These women go home and teach their children and husbands this garbage.
Since I already know that most on this forum disagree with my thoughts and my thoughts are long and drawn out, I will only debate it using email.
First comment posted here says it all! I will add that--even though some say-women can teach women, so they will let their sisters, wives, daughters, attend her conferences---it is not the same as what the New Testament teaches about 'older women teaching younger women' especially when you see her audience include women older than herself. You could call this inclusion of 'social justice' as 'mission creep' where an idea in secular world gets into sermons, etc. Some sermons you would think are about psychology rather than God or Jesus Christ or the Bible.

Except burn the BM books That sorcery should never find it way into anyone’s hands.

Tragically, this supposedly evangelical lady, who wishes to take a position that is not open to her as a lady to teach men, (but even when she teaches women), has deceived many, and is following the fatal leftist ‚ÄúSocial Justice‚ÄĚ / Social Gospel narrative, also the contemplative mystical practices as well, and has been used in leading multitudes of male and female professed evangelicals into these appealing and ear tickling errors. I have heard and seen some of her loud strident and unbiblical messages, and they are not godly, but lead people away from the Word of God.
