Politicians Shutter Churches and Synagogues, Then Tolerate Riots
Are we in a pandemic or not?” a reporter from the Orthodox Jewish newspaper Hamodia asked New York Mayor Bill de Blasio Tuesday. “And do we have one set of rules for protesters and another for everyone else?”

Good questions. For nearly three months, the country founded to guarantee religious freedom has seen its houses of worship shut down. Following local and state executive orders, Catholic churches held no Mass. Communion wasn't taken, confessions weren’t heard, and Catholics went to their final rest without the comfort of the sacraments. Jewish prayer services, which require a quorum, were broken up by city governments or banned by state executive orders. New York City police were dispatched to break up a Jewish funeral and close down a yeshiva where Jews teach their children Torah. ...

They wanted me to make a reservation for church this week, which is an improvement over previous weeks, where we weren't allowed to go at all.

It's about getting people used to being told when they can shuffle to their destination, and what they can do when they get there. It's about getting people used to the setting aside of the law even after there is no longer an emergency excuse for setting it aside. Keeping people "safe" is not the purpose for continuation of the ridiculous. Keeping them docile is. It won't work here long term, but leftists haven't the brain power to figure that out.

Look deeper, the smaller groups of agitators that infiltrate the peaceful protestors and then hijack them, are anarchist, socialist & communist.

Their tried and true tactics are historical to those groups & effective, if not countered.

"A female police officer was injured when protesters hurled projectiles and flares at her horse which bolted and sent her into a traffic light, amid chaotic scenes at the Black Lives Matter protest last night." (dailymail.co.uk/)

Looks like the violent anarchy demonstations pandemic by the Liberalists has crossed the pond to attack the society here.

In a reprobate world the Left and its violent riots are perfectly at home.

Satan loves to cause chaos amongst the nations and society.

Oh and guess what we have had an attack on statues of historic people over here too. -
"A statue of a 17th century slave trader in Bristol has been pulled down by Black Lives Matter protesters following a rally against the death of George Floyd and racial injustice.
The bronze memorial to Edward Colston had stood in Bristol city centre since 1895"

Anarchy turmoil disorder chaos disrespect hate contempt childish ....
Liberalism at its worst making a nuisance of itself??? And some people have this as their religion EG: C of E.

This generation is losing the plot!!

what if i gathered together a bunch of people with signs about 'i can't breathe' and so forth, but then we started singing hymns and reciting the Lords Prayer and the Apostles Creed, and then someone stood up and preached a sermon, and then we took an offering.
Would that be OK in the eyes of the Authorities?

Even here in England, there seems to be a total disregard by demonstrators, and a certain lack of robust control, although as far as I am aware, there has not been the violence that you have had in the USA. “Social distancing” was non-existent in the demonstrations, and COVID19 regulations went out of the window!!

Yet, if we had good bold pastors, like some of yours in the USA , who insisted on having the churches meeting, and the Gospel being preached, (the only cure for all this strife and indeed for racism), I suspect the absent police would suddenly appear, with masks, fines, tickets, and enforcing ridiculous restrictions on the churches, like no singing, no communion, no baptisms, no social fellowship or church meals, no Sunday school or children’s activities, and everyone to wear masks!! I hope this does not come like this in this country; apparently churches may be allowed to open in July for private prayer only, but not any services!! This whole COVID19 process has indeed been most strange and inconsistent. In England, from June 15, masks are compulsory on all public transport, and at all times in hospitals.

Much blame can also be put on the news media that wants to sell ad space--whether clicks on their websites or ads on their TV channels.
Truth is not the issue, so a fact like most violence/crimes against blacks is done by blacks is not reported. Nor are recent crimes like the killing of a white GRand Forks ND police officer by a black guy is not mentioned.
Oh No! they say, we don't want to inflame racial passions! OK, but then why spend so much time and money sending reporters with cameras to film demonstrations/riots that might include no more than a hundred people?

The pandemic resulted in people losing hope and most the ability to hear about the Hope...which setup a prime opportunity for people to respond to an issue in a hopeless way... anger and fear.

Churches in Texas have been on a sllllloww roll out to open churches at even 50%. The objectives are to open businesses and then churches. But mega churches have remained closed. Our church is two services. One for high risk , one for non high risk. I’m high risk but think why run the risk. But apparently, we’ll be at full capacity in 2 weeks. If they can see that this Covid season is over in the 3 weeks then the medical and economic wizards must be fortune tellers as well.
Di Blasio want to run for president. The Covid season has been a windfall for pagan communists ( a redundant statement), to keep people of faith from ever voting democrat again. Unless you’re Jewish. If a train with a painted donkey shows up, please folks, don’t get on it.

Yes, there are different standards depending on who you are. Now that the most critical freedoms have been removed in the name of "safety," the fact that they have not returned those freedoms while permitting and even participating in protests and rallies shows the true nature of the situation.

What will be most interesting is whether or not positive COVID tests results will begin to spike among those taking part in protests. And another will be whether or not those same police forces that have been highlighted for their harsh tactics toward protesters will be dispatched to close down churches while protests continue without social distancing.
