Ravi Zacharias Dies of Cancer
Apologist Ravi Zacharias died Tuesday, two months after he announced he had been diagnosed with cancer. He was 74.

The popular author and Christian teacher was known for his work through Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), which focused on apologetic arguments for the existence of God and the reasonableness of Christianity.

He preached in more than 70 countries and authored more than 30 books in his 48-year career, teaching Christians to engage with skeptics and arguing that the Christian worldview has robust answers to humanity’s existential questions. ...

Sinner saved by Grace...

Unfortunately, Ravi did keep doing what he wanted. Not enough people in his church body cared enough to provide any meaningful church discipline. Also, Ravi Zacharias Ministries belonged to Ravi Zacharias so it was kind of hard to do anything to him there. I'm just saying, if my pastor had done that and was so untouchable as to not answer questions about his shortcomings forthrightly, and the deacons were just yes men, then I would have to find another church body.

I thot best to insert BOLD into your comments to help clarify my points
BTW, Zacharais speaking in a Satanic Mormon temple is not the equivalent of Paul speaking at Mars' Hill/Areopagus.STILL DID NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION WHY NOT WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? An equivalent hypothetical situation would be, God forbid, John the Apostle speaking inside a Gnostic cult temple. As Mormons have established a demonic false Christianity and can never be communed with in such intimacy. Their god is not God; how can you not see the evil in this?Zacharias committed spiritual fornication and apostate Christianity is too cowardly to call it; instead they patronize him as this glorious Saint who could never do any wrong. NO ONE EVER SAID THIS, ARE YOU SINLESS? The 'gospel' Zacharias preached, is not the Gospel. YOU CALLED IT THE GOSPEL, NOT I. His actions in presenting a so-called gospel openly show his inward sins and the rotten fruit. Let him be accursed. BOLD WORDS FROM ANOTHER SINNER SAVED BY GRACE
Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Anybody who knowingly pardons Zacharias of this, is guilty as well; bidding 'him God speed' in his mockery of a ministry.
This is modern day Evangelicalism.

You have probably heard that the gates of hell shall not prevail. Lots of people think that means the church will put up a good defense against the devil. No, it means the church will break through Satan's gates. Gates are defensive. Church is to be on offense. Can't think of a better way to do it than what Ravi Z did. There are biblical references to go where the sinners are. If that is heresy, let's hope for more heretics.

Wow, thank you for your honesty. I see where you are coming from and it saddens me. I'm sorry also, maybe you missed the passages I set out, you didn't comment on them (Gal. 2:11-14 and Mark 9:38-40. Are they not true and God's words? Explain why your texts are right snd mine go ignored. I am sure we're both forgiven by the bloid of Jesus Christ and will one day fellowship in glory. Both of our eyes will be open and God's grace and mercy will be revealed. I just don't want to be the dinner that casts the first stone not the one who has coats cast at their feet (Acts 7:58) when stoning. Be careful brothers, your words are not in Christ-like love

2 John 1:9-11 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

You said something about Zacharias' 'fair speeches'?

Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

I wonder where this apostate, false man of God is today?

2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Sinner...

What you call self-righteous hypocrisy, I call biblical standards. It's not anything I have made up, but I think a pastor should be above reproach. Especially if they counsel people who they are sexually attracted too. I don't know why so many pastors fail morally and people brush it under the rug like nothing ever happened or if someone questions what happened, they become the immoral ones.

So "presenting tbe gospel" doesn't matter to you. It's the location, hmmm, I guess that's the same for Jesus, Peter, Paul and hundreds of missionaries tbrough out the ages. Sorry for you! If he condoned anything about their beliefs (which he didn't), I'd be concerned. I did see this, because, when it originally took place, I too wanted to check it out. I think his graciousness was Christ-like, his decorum, Solomon-like and his presentation Paul-like. And I am sure he would respond, to you like, I will,.. Mark 9:38-40 and Galatians 2:11-14

You seem not to have watched Zacharias speak at a Mormon 'tabernacle'. Simply search YouTube for the actual video of this apostasy: 'Ravi Zacharias at the Mormon Tabernacle'.
It does not matter if he presented the gospel there or not, Zacharias gave incredible legitimacy to this Satanic group by giving them respect they do not deserve.
Where is the discernment?!
This is spiritual adultery on behalf of Zacharias, to his perverse shame, for all to see on YouTube.
I've looked on BaptistBoard and the Puritan Board to see nothing but praise for this man who made merchandise of you.
He died in the same evil shame as Billy Graham.

Sorry to hear all the unedifying talk about a man who served The Lord. When you're perfect, have your doctrine all neatly wrapped and share with others, the way he has or to as many as he has, then come and talk to me. But then again, I won't want to fellowship with you, because of your self-righteous hypocrisy. I didn't agree with everything he said, but I loved his sincerity. No wonder the world has difficulty with Christians, we shoot our own people. I think it was C. Everett Koop who said that Christians have difficulty with others christians because they sin differently than them. What's your sin?

What I can prove to you is that he payed off a woman that was accusing him of an inappropriate relationship with her. There was some other reports at the time that had the same email snippets, so I tend to believe them. When asked to go into detail he would hide behind the whole I can't because of legalities stuff. I would have liked to see him step down and take time to straighten his life out and get right with God or even retire. It seems like he enjoyed the money more.

I'm still skeptical. I can't find any other source to back that email dialogue up. A Google search only shows that pulpit and pen site. So a lone site has a transcript that is unverifiable mind you. It doesn't add up.

22   Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

Yes, pastors and ministers are to be held to a higher standard and will be judged as such. I absolutely agree. I don't disagree that there are some things I've heard him do that I thought was strange like preaching in a Mormon church. Difference was though, as far as I know he preached the proper gospel to a group of people who had a false one. He didn't compromise as far as I know.

However, most of your posts are rarely conversation about a topic and are just url dumps for people to read. Sometimes these posts are more divisive and inflammatory than the topic demands.

If someone disagrees with an article then discussion is fair enough, but to make a vague comment with an attached url, like you do, doesn't bare much conversation.

Most times I've learnt to just ignore posts that do that because it often feels like one is not actually interested in discussing a topic but is more interested in promoting an opinion piece they've read somewhere.

You say you don't know much about him and you're happy to stay not knowing much about him and his ministry but are prepared to rip him down and promote literature about shortcomings. Why?

So... Local news... Gossip...

From what I've seen about the issue is that it was in fact the woman who was the offender and it was his own ignorance that got him into that situation. If that's the case, while unfortunate, if he immediately dealt with it by trying his best to cut off conversation, then he hasn't been unfaithful to his wife and sinned.

Can his testimony be found anywhere online?

Ravi used the term Dr in error due to misunderstanding and some women decided to be evil and make up a sexual assault claim for extortion.

MichaelH, all that I did was to put up a URL for an article that SermonAudio itself used ‚ĚóūüĎć It is apparent that some people have problems with him. Ministers should be held to a higher standard. I really know nothing about him, and I would like to keep it that way. He seems to have made quite a bit of money out of his business of promoting Christianity‚Ěď I could refer to an article from Pen and Pulpit which printed the emails in detail, but Christianity Today had a more sympathetic article about him.

She would send nude photos of herself to him and Ravi would open up the emails to look at them. He threatened suicide when she threatened to reveal their relationship. So, church funds went towards making her go away. He obviously did something or there wouldn't have been a pay off. Then because it was settled out of court, he could dodge questions about it by saying he couldn't talk about it legally. He should have stepped down.
You were a witness to it I gather?
