Sanders wins New Hampshire primary
Bernie Sanders held off Pete Buttigieg in New Hampshire on Tuesday, slowing the former mayor’s charge and asserting himself as the tentative frontrunner in a still-muddled Democratic primary field.

Amy Klobuchar sparked to life with a third-place finish, while two one-time favorites — Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden — lagged far behind. The returns reflected a surprising degree of momentum for Klobuchar, who is presenting herself as a moderate alternative to Buttigieg and Biden — but who before New Hampshire plodded forward largely as an afterthought. ...

If nothing else, the below cut and paste is interesting.

Alexander Tyler (Lord Woodhouselee, Alexander Fraser Tyler a Scottish historian/professor who wrote several books in the late 1700s and early 1800s.)

When the thirteen colonies were still a part of England, Professor Alexander Tyler wrote about the fall of the Athenian republic over two thousand years previous to that time:

"A democracy [or republic] cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.

"The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence:

• from bondage to spiritual faith,
• from spiritual faith to great courage,
• from courage to liberty,
• from liberty to abundance,
• from abundance to selfishness,
• from selfishness to complacency
• from complacency to apathy,
• from apathy to dependency,
• from dependency back to bondage."

Since Bernie is the new, yet old, socialist Messiah, can’t wait for the public be heading of the press corps, police chief’s association, corporate club ( Bezo’s, Zuckerberg, Musk, and then down to teachers, ( myself and my wife and home schooling daughter, and my other daughters who work as nurses or in ministry association), policemen and local politicians who want to represent average mom and pop.
The fact is public education and public universities gave us Bernie Sanders . His death cult socialist fascism is the unbridled core of the Democratic Party.

DF- correction, Vermont does have Walmart. I just vacationed there in January- ski trip- and was able to shop at Walmart. And I have to say it was probably the nicest Walmart I’ve ever seen.

Mike, I never did vote for Bill Clinton. probably I should have. He was more Republican than most Republicans were and had a very good economic record.

Speaking of economic records:

It's good to know you would never vote for Bill Clinton again.
If I were a Republican, my conscience wouldn't let me vote for Weld.

I am glad Sanders won because it was his own back yard (New Hampshire being next to Vermont, for our international readers). But people in NH are very different from VT, which you can see by traveling in both states. Vermont is super liberal, and does not allow Walmart. But there is a Walmart across the river, in NH, so they have no problem crossing that border to buy things cheaper than in VT.
More interesting is the result of Warren not taking 2nd place, and Kolbuchar turning in 5th.
Of course, you can ask yourself, who placed 3rd, 4th and 5th in 2016 NH primary? You have to remember the Clinton campaign cheated Sanders out of his winnings later on before the convention, but what do you expect from the Clintons?
And that's another good thing about the NH primary--I didn't hear any pundits talk about how the Clintons preferred candidate A or B or C or D. Well, I didn't listen to George Staphonopuolus, the former Clinton Press Secretary who got a sweet, well-paying job at ABC.
