Chinese Coronavirus Outbreak Traced Back To Snakes, Study Finds
The emergence of a new coronavirus strain in Wuhan, China last month has put the entire world on alert. Following the recent revelation that the virus can in fact be spread via human-to-human transmission, Chinese authorities have halted flights and trains departing the city and inhabitants have been advised not to travel. Meanwhile researchers have been working tirelessly to understand this new health risk, both its origins and nature, in order to formulate the best way to stop a full blown epidemic. Now, researchers appear to have zeroed in on how the virus, officially named 2019-nCoV by the World Health Organization, first spread to humans: exposure to snakes at a wholesale market.

The study concludes that the first human diagnosed with this strain of coronavirus had, in all likelihood, visited a market in Wuhan where a large assortment of wildlife were available for purchase, including snakes, ...

USA, we have to remember that other cultures are different from what we’re used to. Something perfectly normal to them is weird to us and vice-versa.

Prayers for you and for this whole situation, YIA.

Japan's NHK network has reported that they also eat rats (bamboo rats) in this Chinese province. They are considered a delicacy. And of course, who can forget the Peking restaurant that had figures of dogs in their decorations, because they served meals made from dog meat(I was going to say 'serve dogs' but the5e09s n some might think, OK, so I can bring my pet Fido and they will serve him a meal? or 'serve dog meat' which some might say, OK, I can bring my Fido with me and I can order a meat-based meal for Fidoo to eat.)

it's not good, I made it out for the 3 week winter break, but left a loved one over there. Planning on returning feb 3. 14 Big cities have been closed, more to come, with predictions on Guangzhou Airport being next. This happened so suddenly, no chance to prepare.

No one knows the full symptoms, just that it's infection rate is almost 100%, meaning at worst you get a flu no matter what, and a plague at the minimum. And it's spreading and mutating. Rumors of another virus in the wild alongside this one.

I'm praying I don't lose all my belongings if I dont come back, I'm bare bones on my vacation, and of course my loved one she can be safe

The Chinese Communists are trying to stop the spread of this thing, so as much as one hates to compliment them, they are going all out in trying to stop the spread of this disease. They canceled the even the celebration of Chinese New Year's in Beijing; it's like canceling Christmas in Atlanta Georgia.
