Man Allegedly Robs His Fifth Bank in 2 Weeks After NY No-Bail Law Lets Him Walk
Less than two weeks into the new year, New York’s latest criminal justice reform effort is reportedly already coming back to burn the state.

A serial robbery suspect released from police custody without bail this week is now wanted for yet another alleged bank robbery that took place just one day after his initial release, the New York Post reported.

According to the outlet, 42-year-old Gerod Woodberry was charged with grand larceny Thursday after a “mini bank-robbing spree” in which the suspect allegedly slipped robbery notes to four bank tellers from Harlem to the West Village, making off with more than $2,000 total.

“I can’t believe they let me out” were Woodberry’s words as authorities prepared him for his release, returning personal items taken during his arrest at the hands of Manhattan patrol officers, the Post reported, citing anonymous sources. “What were they thinking?” ...

Say, "JD from Florida" I hear that many US retirees are moving abroad. I think Phillipines is having a sale on homes, if you don't mind moving a couple feet of volanic ash off the roof.

Now, Doc, don't you go bringing those two impressionable young men into a life of crime! Just because the state doesn't say sin is wrong doesn't give a man of your seniority and stature, or anyone else, a license to jump in. "Certainly not!" is the Apostle's response to such.

If no-consequence crime ever comes to Mississippi as it apparently has to New York and California, BDF, JAG and I may give up duck farming, goat herding and professional ping pong and go into robbing possum cafes full time. The fringe benefits include unlimited carryout orders of possum nuggets as well as my latest health kick, possum kebabs.

Wow! I've been living a long time, but never have I heard, read, or seen the kind of "stuff" that goes on now. It's a crying shame to see what is going on here in the UnUnited States of America. The End surely must be very very close to being fulfilled. God's blessings to all my brothers and sisters in Christ who're holding on, waiting for the blessed return of Jesus Christ.

Another movement in govt is to reduce or eliminate enforcement of 'petty' crimes, like jumping the gates at subway stations.
Politicians are now saying all transit should be free because the reality is that the few bucks each fare costs does not make up much of the transit system's budget.

Ridiculous. My Bible teaches that all have sinned and that sin is present within each of us. It is not the fault of those duely ordained to restrain lawlessness by the sword (the police) nor some direct outcome of poor environment (lack of education or opportunity). It is because evil dwells in the hearts of people thanks to Adam and Eve.

He would be happy in Seattle, where one of the candidates' campaign planks is to get rid of the police. No police, no police violence, no police surveillance (well, if your phone is not made in China by Huawei, with all the spying stuff in it)

Too bad he's not an illegal immigrant. NYS wants to provide them with free college education. Then he could get a job and not have to rob banks.

Welcome to NY, the poor guy, let's put him on welfare and give him a place to live, then he won't rob banks any more. Now that the rich have all moved out the middle class can take care of him. Oh would you like a pound of pot too,it's New York's New cash crop now that farmers

If this bozo can’t pull in more than two large in four bank robberies, he probably needs some serious career counseling.
