Brazilian judge orders Netflix to stop showing gay Jesus movie
A Brazilian judge ordered the streaming entertainment service Netflix to stop showing a controversial movie depicting Jesus as a gay man, according to court documents made public on Wednesday.

In the ruling against Netflix, the state court judge said: "The right to freedom of expression ... is not absolute."

"The First Temptation of Christ," created by Brazilian YouTube comedy group Porta dos Fundos, portrays Jesus bringing home a presumed boyfriend to meet his family.

The show, which started playing on Netflix last month as a Christmas special, has caused an uproar among Brazil's conservative Christians. ...

John, you are the one who insists on continuing this utterly useless strife long after others have let it die. My last comment on an issue that for most isn’t even an issue.
Tim, would you call it 'utterly useless strife' to tell others to:-

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31?

Is it called 'strife' to encourage others by saying, "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart." Psalm 40:8?

It takes two to 'strife', so why are you strifing with me?

Is God's law in your heart, or is it the world? Are you delighting in doing the will of God, or have you been taken in by the world? Did your church have a ChristMass tree in the sanctuary this year? If not, why not? Other churches have them, why not your's? In all your meditating on scripture, to keep it in your heart, did you ever see mentioned the ChristMass celebration, or the Easter celebration, or Lent, or MichaelMass, or Christingle? Yet you celebrate all of these? If not, why not?

Dr. Tim wrote:
1. Yes, John, everyone who has ever disagreed with you on any subject sides with the devil. 2. Do you have ANY idea how haughty you sound when you say things like that?
Good morning Dr Tim,

1. Plainly an untruth, unbecoming for a professing Christian.

2. Haughty people will always say that. They think within themselves, "My life is fine, my ways are perfect, I never play devil's advocate, my worship is good, my doctrine is good, and I have no need for anyone to teach me anything."

But the truth is that we all play devil's advocate from time to time. The only exception being the Lord Jesus, who was not being haughty when he said,

Matthew 12:30 KJV
(30)  He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

To be on the same side as Jesus, you need to be submitted to him. If you celebrate ChristMass along with the world, you are submitting not to Jesus but to the world; you are a friend of the world. And friendship with the world is enmity with God.

All things are either rooted in God or the devil. Now what is the root of ChristMass? I say it is of the devil. If you say it is of God, you are saying that the devil is God.

Sadly, this one presumably godly judge has now been overruled after just one day by the Brazilian Supreme Court, which has ruled that the blasphemous film can indeed go ahead.

The evangelicals in Brazil should be out on the streets in their millions, to show their anger. Netflix would not dare to do a film blaspheming Islam, or even Hinduism or Buddhism, or attacking the Afro-Brazilian spiritist religions of umbanda, macumba and candomble. I know that the Brazilian President is furious, but there is little he can do now the Supreme Court has made its ruling.

Brother John, I seriously doubt the celebration of particular events recorded in the life of our Savior during His time spent in flesh like ours has anything to do with whether or not people will stand up against filth and blasphemy.

Interesting conversation. It brings to mind something else, though. On the one hand it has been said if a man defends himself from the uncivilized, he shows he has no faith that God will defend him. On the other hand, it is now implied at least, that God needs our help in defending Jesus from insults from the uncivilized.

Ah, those were the good old days in merrye olde England, John. The ban on Christmas led to riots and a civil war, and since the churches were no longer open for Christmas services, more people stayed home and got snockered. Can’t you at least give this junk a rest until a week or two before Easter? You’ve been trying to raise a fuss for a couple of weeks now, like a fly fisherman trying to entice a brookie. Is this really the most important issue facing us today?
Well, think about it, Doc. How come a judge in Brazil is doing something about this, and no-one in the west even cares about their Saviour being associated with homosexuality?

It just shows how successful the ChristMass subterfuge is, that we say Merry ChristMass to perverts and queers and transgenders and lesbians and abortionists.

ChristMass is a most definite attack on the genuine Christian community by the devil. So to call exposing this as "junk", you make yourself a devil's advocate, and a supporter of his cause.

It was no different in the OT, when the prophets would be told to SHUT UP, by who? Oh, God's people. God's FAST-ASLEEP people.

Choose ye this day whom ye will serve!

Correct! And if the same people in the UK government who banned ChristMass and Easter and all other unbiblical festal days were still in power, they too would be like that Brazilian judge, and prevent the showing of such filth.

Well, I'm happy that SOMEBODY has spoken up, and, hopefully, will be successful in their efforts of taking the necessary steps to put an end to this abominable, sickening Netflix mess. THANK YOU BRAZIL
