Abortion was the leading cause of death worldwide in 2019
Over 42 million abortions took place globally in 2019 according to new figures that found abortion to be the single largest cause of death.
The statistics, compiled by tracking service Worldometers, counted approximately 42.4 million abortions took place last year.
In comparison, the organisation which does not include abortion in its mortality rates found the number of deaths attributed to all other causes is approximately 58.6 million, making abortions, in our calculations, account for 42% of all deaths worldwide in 2019.
In comparison, Worldometers found the number of death attributed to all other causes – excluding abortions – was approximately 58.6 million. If abortion rates were included in these figures, it would make terminations, by our calculation, account for 42% of all deaths worldwide in 2019....
Oh and BTW Joel, Jimmy is a reprobate basement troll whose chief delight is spending hours putting together massive liberal-link laced comments designed to provoke the believers on SA. He has been exhorted innumerable times to repent and trust the Savior but I'm afraid he has completely hardened his heart to the gospel call.
Joel from Pensacola writes: "The sad part is that they can’t fight back or defend themselves in any way, shape, form, or fashion."
That exact line of thought comes to mind every time I see these sort of articles. How much of a lowlife do you have to be to prey on the most innocent and helpless? It's an extent of depravity that I find difficult to comprehend. Personally, I think the majority of abortionists are simply wanton killers who want unlimited access to innocent lives. They know it's too difficult to try to get away with destroying people who are already born so they take the easy route. It's safe and legal for them but only temporarily. They will give an account for every deed done in their death factories.
Our current civilization is committing suicide. This is the “imminent threat” to our civilization! This is not about politics, Jim. It’s about slaughtering innocent children. The gospel of Jesus Christ is THE ONLY answer. I am not forcing salvation on anybody, Jim. I am just telling it like it is!
Jim, I didn’t say one word about being a street preacher. I asked you when was the last time you personally collared someone and confronted him with his need for salvation. When was the last time you asked somebody, “If you died today, do you know for sure you’d go to heaven? Could I take the Bible and show you how you CAN know?” Doing this is not a matter of a “gift,” Jim. It’s a matter of obedience to Christ. You are either a witness for Christ, or you are lost or a backslider. Which is it, Jim?
Just substitute the word, "permanent" or put it alongside "interim" wherever it occurs in the post and it will even be more accurate!

Unless you’re the Interim Pastor of a very small church, chances are better than ever that the members are not unified on many inflammatory political questions of the day; younger believers especially hold views radically different than their elders. It may even be that the political divide has contributed to a long history of short pastorates. Interim Pastors who preach on or introduce political causes, views, convictions, opinions or theories into the sermon are going to gain stature with some and lose stature with others. You’re there to unite the church around its God-given mission, not cause fractures to set in place.

Timothy, my gift isn't being a street Preacher. unfortunately, or very fortunately, if they realize the fact most pastors aren't designed to be politicians either
Mike, you may consider a conservative Unitarian Church perfect-- I wouldn't even consider a politically conservative Methodist Church anywhere near a perfect Churchâť—
Jim Lincoln wrote, “It is good that some Churches take a little time off of politics and send out missionaries.” When was the time YOU took a day off from politics, Jim? And when was the last time YOU took seriously your own responsibility to be a missionary? Did anyone get saved in 2019 in part because of your personal missionary work? If not, why don’t you put down the mouse and take up the message?

When your friends take time off their murder rampage, maybe Christians can take time off.
Quote:- "Human development begins after the union of male and female gametes or germ cells during a process known as fertilization (conception). "Fertilization is a sequence of events that begins with the contact of a sperm (spermatozoon) with a secondary oocyte (ovum) and ends with the fusion of their pronuclei (the haploid nuclei of the sperm and ovum) and the mingling of their chromosomes to form a new cell. This fertilized ovum, known as a zygote, is a large diploid cell that is the beginning, or primordium, of a human being." [Moore, Keith L. Essentials of Human Embryology. Toronto: B.C. Decker Inc, 1988, p.2]"
Quote:- For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth." (From Psalm 139)

Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom; attend to the law of God, you people of Gomorrah. Of what value to Me is the abundance of your sacrifices? Says the Lord; I am full of whole burnt offerings of rams; and I delight not in the fat of lambs, and the blood of bulls and goats; neither shall you come with these to appear before Me; for who has required these things at your hands? You shall no more tread My court. Though you bring fine flour, it is futile; incense is an abomination to Me; I cannot bear your new moons, and your Sabbaths, and the great day; your fasting, and rest from work, your new moons also, and your feasts My soul hates; you have become loathsome to Me; I will no more pardon your sins. When you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away My eyes from you; and though you make many supplications, I will not hearken to you; for your hands are full of blood. Wash, and be clean; remove your iniquities from your souls before My eyes; cease from your iniquities; learn to do well; diligently seek judgment, deliver him that is suffering wrong, plead for the orphan, and obtain justice for the widow. (Isa 1:10-17)
