A number of senior Palestinian officials claimed this week that Jesus was the "first Palestinian," and one called him the "first Islamic martyr."
Palestinian Media Watch reported Tawfiq Tirawi, a Fatah Central Committee member, posted on his personal Facebook page on Dec. 24: "This is blessed Christmas, The birthday of our lord Jesus the Messiah, the first Palestinian and the first Shahid (Islamic Martyr)."
PA President Mahmoud Abbas declared Dec. 28 on official Palestinian TV, "For all of us Palestinians, this holiday (Christmas) is ours."...

Jerusalem was never again the capital of any state, under the Romans, the Byzantines, the Arabs, the “Christian” Crusaders, the Saracens, the Turks or the British, until it finally once again became the capital of the new revived state of Israel in 1948, and then consolidated in 1967, when the Israelites captured the eastern parts and the Temple Mount from the Jordanians after the 6 Days War, when the Jordanians and their allies had attacked Israel in an unprovoked war.
In all the years of the previous Turkish occupation, Israel was a barren land, and absentee Arab and Turkish landlords quite gleefully sold tracts of desert like mosquito ridden land to Jewish settlers at highly inflated prices, and no doubt were staggered when these enterprising Jews, actually tamed the land, irrigated it and produced crops, greenery, fruit and vegetables, and beautiful flowers that gave have even been exported to places like Holland!! God’s hand was here, but the Palestinians are trying to rewrite history.
The agenda behind this by the Palestinian Muslims and their “Christian” fellow travellers is to deny any link between the Lord Jesus Christ and the Jews. Let us not forget that the Lord Jesus Christ was a Jew, the prophets and apostles were Jews, and that Jerusalem has only ever been the capital of Israel, when King David conquered it from the pagan Jebusites at the beginning of his reign.
Palestine was an artificial construction, created by the Romans as an insult to the Jews when they destroyed the Temple and city of Jerusalem in AD 70 after the Jewish revolt. The triumphant Romans called the province “Palestina” after the ancient Old Testament enemies of Israel, the Philistines.
It comes down to this. Mat 16:15: "He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?" If Jesus is not God then you have another Jesus. You have antichrist and your being led by another spirit. Jesus is God the Son. The Holy Spirit will always lead you to Jesus and Jesus will lead you to the Father. Thank You LORD .
The Lord Jesus is many things to many people, but not all of those concepts are right. Even during the days He walked this earth prior to His cruxifiction, many apparently expected Him to establish His earthly reign immediately. The Pharisees expected the Messiah to be just like them. Many liberals today, and I'd lump these Palestinians with those liberals, expect Jesus to be on board with their concepts. Former President Jimmy Carter is one who had faith in a Jesus of his own imagination.
Psalm 2 shows a Jesus who is not beholden to anyone or upholding anyone's agendas but the Father's. Jesus may be many things to many people, but ultimately they must turn to the Jesus who is revealed in the Bible a d not of their imaginations.
