Pope urges world leaders to sign 'Global Pact' for 'new humanism'
The pope is beginning to quote Hillary Clinton regarding his agendas, and has taken a hard turn to the secular, mentioning God just once in a new educational plan.

The Daily Wire reports on a plan in which the pope is inviting representatives of multiple religions, international groups and others to sign a "Global Pact of Education."

The Vatican said just days ago the pope confirmed, in a video message, "A global educational pact is needed to educate us in universal solidarity and a new humanism."

Lifesite News reported, "Vatican-backed website launched to promote the pact added: 'Educating young people in fraternity, in learning to overcome divisions and conflicts, promote hospitality, justice and peace: Pope Francis has invited everyone who cares about the education of the young generation to sign a Global Pact, to create a global change of mentality through education.'" ...

Francis is a lunatic. I have no use for Francis. This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Pastor Steve was titled "God of the Caves" from Psalm 57.

Yes sir, James. Saw Hosea 1:10. And this poor, weary traveler is grateful for the Lord's utter mercy.

Great observation. I agree with your assesment that 1 Peter is not written regarding soley a Jewish audience, but also consider that neither was the prophet Hosea.

Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

Did God make a covenant with animals?

No. But He did so with His bride.

Acts 10:11-12 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

That picture is given more clarity further on.

Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Thanks, James! Great catch. Not sure I completely agree, though. 1 Peter does not appear to be written solely to a Jewish audience at least to me. Could be missing something obvious, which would not be the first time.

As I was reading your post I recalled that Hosea 2:23 has some more light on what people group Peter was speaking on in 1 Peter 2:10 and thought I'd pass it along.

The Pope and Hillary Clinton.........
Now there's a pact made in hell.

Poor old Pope his big problem is having a sinful human conviction instead of Christian Faith. When your religion is founded upon human imagination and worldly ideologies then combination with the reprobates seems 'nice' - But in effect is only a pretext of religion and sin dominated false witness.

If Francis was on the narrow path of truth then he wouldn't jump into bed religiously with any old sinner - especially a politician with Hillary's notoriety.

Automatic suspicion arises whenever any of so-called leaders use the term "global" in their speech. There is no global anything, except maybe chaos. The Vatican should clean up its own backyard before advising the rest of the world.

Thanks, Prof Nutty. I think we agree. You made your case quite well.

My point is that the Holy Spirit's work in the believer, of raising one who is dead to life in Christ, does not end there. The Lord reconciles the undeserving unbeliever to Himself in Christ, but a reflection of that reconciliation vertically is a reconciliation horizontally -- and down comes the middle wall of separation. The Apostle Peter describes us those who were not a people, that is a motley mass of various ethnicities but that internal "ethnicity" changes in Christ to alogn as one of His adopted brotgers and sisters (1 Peter 2:10). But, sadly, you are correct. So much of this is declarative and not complete in this life due to total depravity. So peace in the camp of God is limited at shown often on this board.

But it stands utterly opposed to the Vatican's latest nonsense regarding educating people to be "good," whatever that means in their eyes.

@The Quiet Christian

Not trying to argue over words here, but reformed is very different from what the Scripture you quoted actually says. We have to be wary not to underestimate the depravity of mankind. We arent weakened and defeated by sin, but in fact dead in trespasses and sins. It's not reform that man needs but life from the dead, and that life is in Christ. Its not reforms of the heart that take place, the Holy Spirit quickens, makes alive. Where once there was spiritual death, by grace through faith are we made alive. It's a new heart and a new spirit and a new creation. "It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh is no help at all. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." It is through the gospel that the Holy Spirit works to make people alive to God for good works and for his glory. Praise God for his grace and mercy to such undeserving sinners who could not of themselves be saved!

It should be remembered that this has been going on for decades,
Mike Gendron wrote:
One of the greatest dangers to Christianity today is the deliberate suppression of biblical truth for the sake of unity. The danger intensifies as we see many highly visible and influential Christians are jumping on the Vatican’s ecumenical bandwagon. Instead of warning believers that this false unity is the emergence of the "last days" apostate church, evangelicals are embracing and applauding those who are engineering it. Instead of obeying biblical exhortations and examples to:...
.... It would do us all well to heed the words of C.H. Spurgeon, "Ignorance has been one of the grand agents of Popery ever since her establishment; by it, the eyes of men have been so blinded that they can scarcely discern between good and evil, and follow implicitly any guide even until they fall into the ditch of perdition."...
excerpt from, (The Popes' Push for a One-World Religion)

Well this probably was written during the reign of Pope John Paul II, it certainly is still true today as seen from the article that SA referenced.

I've seen a lot of nutty stuff exposed by the press regarding the Vatican and its potentate, but this is nuttier than a fruit cake.

What does this "new humanism" entail? Who defines the terms "hospitality," "justice," and "peace?" How is education going to change hearts?

Silly people, the Lord does all this without some humanist globalist agenda! Ephesians 2 lays it out. Turn to the Lord, and the Holy Spirit's reforms with the heart will begin to build compassion, hospitality, truth, and quiet living that lend toward justice and peace. Clintonites indeed!
