China: Social Credit System Has ‘Restored Morality’
China’s state-run newspaper Global Times revealed in a column defending the nation’s authoritarian “social credit system” Monday that the communist regime had blacklisted 13.49 million Chinese citizens for being “untrustworthy.”

Monday’s Global Times piece claimed it will “restore morality” by holding bad citizens accountable, with “bad” solely defined in the parameters set by Communist Party totalitarian chief Xi Jinping. The federal party in Beijing is also establishing a points-based metric for monitoring the performance of local governments, making it easier to keep local officials in line with Xi’s agenda.

“As of March, 13.49 million individuals have been classified as untrustworthy and rejected access to 20.47 million plane tickets and 5.71 million high-speed train tickets for being dishonest,” the Global Times reported, citing the government’s National Development and Reform Commission ...

Ms Nossel believes the Chinese Communist Party is playing the long game, not just in projecting its own international power, but in trying to undermine democracy and international values.

"China has its idea of cyber sovereignty, which is really a challenge to the global conception of internet freedom enshrined in UN resolutions and derived from the basic protections for freedom of expression in instruments like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," she says.

"China doesn't subscribe to that."...

Individuals can earn points, for example, for reporting those who violate the new restrictions on religious practice, such as Christians who illegally meet to pray in private homes, or the Muslim Uyghurs and Kazakhs in China’s far west whom they spot praying in public, fasting during Ramadan or just growing a beard.

Of course, as the state progresses ever closer toward its goal of monitoring all of the activities of its citizens 24 hours a day, seven days a week, society itself becomes a virtual prison....

Absolutely right, bro. The accuser of the brethren can shout all he wants to; God has justified the saints, therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

Also, to be beloved of God is a great privilege, and something that always causes me to praise him.

Ah, yes, John, He died for all (verse 14), but not all live in Him (verse 15) because not all have received Him. “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
Yes indeed Tim, and that verse was one of which God used in mine own conversion. It showed me that there were two sorts of people: those who have the Son, and those who do not have the Son of God. You have life, or you don't have life. It was simple enough for me at that time, when I knew no theology. It showed me that because I did not have the Son of God, I did not have life.

And yes, concerning receiving Christ: He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power [the right, actually] to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Yes indeed.

Yes indeed, Tim. That is what I also believe. When scripture is accepted, it is much simpler. As in...

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 KJV
(14)  For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
(15)  And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

which basically means...

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 GNB
(14)  We are ruled by the love of Christ, now that we recognize that one man died for everyone, which means that they all share in his death.
(15)  He died for all, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but only for him who died and was raised to life for their sake.

What these men need to realise is that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". That "there are none that doeth good, no, not one".

And why is that? Is there a reason for this? Sure, it is all down to The Fall, in the Garden of Eden, when our representative, Adam, fell into sin, and thusly brought sin and death upon all the human race. We are born with a sinful nature, we sin from very early on in our life, and apart from God's grace we will continue in sin until death, when we shall have to appear before God and come to judgment.

But God is both just and the justifier of them that believe on Jesus. God is just, and sin must be punished, and sin was indeed punished, at the cross. Behold, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. God can justify, declare righteous through the imputed righteousness of his Son, to any and all who put their trust in Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

One might well categorize the original, source article from the Global Times as "fake news." When the dictatorship establishes the meaning of words like "dishonest" and "untrustworthy as well as the criteria for determining if someone meets its definitions, we know that it's all about the agenda and not the objective truth.

Same thing happens here in terms of labeling. Words like "racist," "bigot," "misogynist," "hater" all get thrown around American society for not upholding the social justice concepts of those forwarding the racial tension, feminism, and LGBT+ agendas.

There is an objective standard found in the Bible. But it comes down to who is going to be God -- the true and living God who created and sustains us? Or will it be the god of our own selves and our own bellies? Does the Lord establish the standard or do we?
