SC moves to ban nearly all abortions
State lawmakers on Tuesday passed to the House floor a bill that would ban nearly all abortions in South Carolina, after hearing hours of competing pleas from pastors, women’s rights advocates, pregnancy counselors, parents and doctors.

After about five hours of debate, the GOP-dominated House Judiciary Committee voted 15-7 along party lines Tuesday night to advance a fetal heartbeat abortion ban to the full House, where Democrats promised another fight.

The legislation would outlaw abortions once a fetal heartbeat can be detected, typically around the sixth week of pregnancy. Six weeks is before some women know they are pregnant and long before the fetus can survive outside the womb. ...

Hey brother Frank, hope all is well. We all agree that any abortion is wrong. But I would say that I humbly disagree with your assertion that there is no difference between the conservatives and the liberals on this matter.
Conservatives are passing restrictions like mentioned in this article while liberals are trying to pass laws to kill the babies even after an unsuccessful abortion. If you reduce abortions to rape, incenst (really why punish the child) and the life of the mother (which is totally unnecessary) it would eliminate over 99.9% of abortions, whereas liberals are trying to pass abortion for any reason though all stages of the pregnancy .
Much of this has to do with the appointment of Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and the unwarranted belief that Roe v Wade will be overturned and thus abortion laws would be handed back to the states.
God bless, appreciate you brother!!
My only purpose was to show that the so-called conservatives that use the expression safe, rare and personal are saying the same thing as on demand. I was not referring to everyone that claims to be conservative or tries something to limit the numbers that are being murdered. I have often praised God for those restrictions.

Great points, Frank. Are you saying that conservative politicians have adopted the liberal stance on abortion - "safe, rare & personal"? If so, you may well be right.
Thanks for the question QC! I think it is a play on words that confuses some. On demand simply means at any time for any reason. Rare is something I could plug into any abortion. Very seldom will someone have more than 1 or 2 so on demand would still be rare by definition. Personal speaks for itself. That is no difference between on demand and personal. All abortions are personal. In fact, the personal part is the most hideous on this mantra. And of course all those who undergo or support abortions would say they should be safe. I’m sure you remember the back alley abortions.

So, if we just think about it; what is the difference between the politically conservative and the liberal mantra?

I heard the rare, safe and personal comments twice on FOX news.

NONE.

The “fetal heartbeat” abortion ban would make an exception to save the mother’s life or when the procedure is deemed necessary to avert serious risk of substantial and irreversible harm to the woman’s health. However, the bill does not include an exception for severe fetal anomalies that would lead to death after birth. Those anomalies often develop later in the pregnancy.

The above is from the article.

As “most” of us already know, any attempt at regulating the murder of the unborn is not acceptable to our country. But, IMO, since all legislation offers some type of exception clause, then the exceptions will become the rule. IOW, I am depressed and contemplating suicide will always work. A pregnancy is not a healthcare issue, but a growing baby.

The liberals say abortion on demand; the conservatives say, rare, safe and personal. There is no difference in these positions.

But, I thank God for once again bringing this up in our culture. And I pray that just once precious life will be saved because of it.

Great point! The only difference between everything you mentioned (nature, animals etc.) that are protected is that we are made in God’s image, and people who are enemies of God hate God and His image, therefore they want to destroy it. Truly satanic.

A great move in the right direction; an unprecedented move that I hope will give other GOP controlled statehouses a little of their own courage to do the right thing.

A human baby is a human life, and while any woman has the right to conceive, she is bound to protect that life growing within her, after. "Thou shalt not murder" doesn't come with any caveats...no loopholes...no, "Unless thou dost not haveth universal healthcare".

Bold move, South Carolina. Society has become so callous. So, if it's a woman's right to murder her own child, then why in the world can't the owner of a cute little puppy kill it when it's no longer wanted, or kill a litter they don't have the room to care for, since the government doesn't provide any assistance to feed, house, or for their healthcare?

Puppies, kittens, sea turtles, bald eagles, harp seals, and caterpillars, among many others, have rights to life, and are protected. Wetlands, nature preserves, and pretty much all of nature, are top priorities as people chain themselves to trees to save a landscape, etc., but a perfectly healthy human baby can be mutilated, alive, and nobody cares. Priorities.😔
