Americans are changing their relationship with Facebook
Significant shares of Facebook users have taken steps in the past year to reframe their relationship with the social media platform.
Just over half of Facebook users ages 18 and older (54%) say they have adjusted their privacy settings in the past 12 months, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. Around four-in-ten (42%) say they have taken a break from checking the platform for a period of several weeks or more, while around a quarter (26%) say they have deleted the Facebook app from their cellphone. All told, some 74% of Facebook users say they have taken at least one of these three actions in the past year.
The findings come from a survey of U.S. adults conducted May 29-June 11, following revelations that the former consulting firm Cambridge Analytica had collected data on tens of millions of Facebook users without their knowledge....
Pff, unfortunately, seems to be a very angry woman, and focuses on Christians as the outlet for her rage. I'm assuming someone did her wrong, life hasn't treated her fairly on some level, or that she is just a loner who doesn't fit in, and gets bullied, so she uses forums to release her rage because she can do it incognito. She seems to be fixated, and stuck in a manic loop on scorning Christians for being effeminate, and weak pacifists who instead, should be murdering everyone they possibly can. Her rants are akin to an 11yr old having a fit, and I'm always kind of embarassed for her because she sounds so foolish.
I'm not quite sure where this angry lady ever got her information from, but there are plenty here who would defend themselves, loved ones, and friends from harm, so I wish she'd choose a new topic, cuz the same old, same old is getting real tired.

Go to the library John and seek assistance from someone known as a "librarian", they will point you to things called encyclopedias where you will learn about things like "telephones", "email", "usps", "skype".

Apart from an ultra rare visit to a church account on Facebook as an outside visitor, I never visit or have any accounts on social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or anything else. I think even more respectable professional type sites like LinkedIn are also somewhat suspect.
These things are best avoided as far as possible. Interestingly, like the Hollywood star that Christopher from Rhode Island mentioned, who banned her children from using these accounts, the very secular French Government has actually totally banned mobile phones, tablets, etc altogether from state elementary schools and restricted their use in high schools (lycees).
I lasted one week on Facebook 3 years ago, some guy tried to ask me about a truck I sold 11 years ago to a used car lot, â hey man, whyâd that truck you sold in 07â blow a rod on me? Did you ever change the oilâ After that comment , I deleted my account. I have no control over 20 year old pickups with over 200k miles.
I caught an interview with Jennifer Garner yesterday afternoon, and she was saying that she forbids her kids to have any social media accounts, or interact on them in any way, and monitors them closely to make certain. Not bad coming from a Hollywood elite, and is a great example for all to follow. The sheer waste of time and distraction aside, kids are so impressionable that the comments on social media can actually dictate their childhoods, form their behavior, opinions, likes, dislikes, effect emotional health and well-being, and can, and has, led to several suicides, and/or, attempts, due to bullying, and body/appearance shaming, etc. Nope, not good in any way. Run, play, jump, read, play games, act silly, and just be a kid like in the days before social media, and the stress of not getting enough "likes", not having enough "friends", people telling you how ugly you are after posting a selfie, or having the secrets you confided to a friend, posted for all to see because someone looked at someone else's boyfriend, etc.
Complete waste of life and time. Its just a massive data gathering scam which businesses and agencies can learn everything about you from. Its causing so many problems with coveting and unrealistic expectations as people are only seeing the information which makes their friends look happy and rich. Messenger means people can interupt your life the moment you sit down to relax and pick up your phone. Ive been off it for years but my Wife isn't listening.
