Censorship: Alex Jones Removed from Apple, Facebook, YouTube, Spotify

All of these tech companies banning so-called conspiracy theorist Jones on the same day? It seems almost coordinated — a conspiracy, if you will.

Gateway Pundit does an excellent job in quantifying the damage done by these tech companies’ efforts to marginalize not just Jones, but conservatives in general. Beginning in January of 2017, traffic from Facebook to selected conservative news sites has dropped by 93 percent. That’s not coincidence. The giants in the liberal tech world realized that the election of Donald Trump had a lot to do with alternative news sources, and they have acted accordingly to get rid of that influence. ...

Social media companies taking down content and mainstream news coverage of hoax claims can also drive traffic to those sites creating the questionable content. That appeared to be the case this week with Infowars, a rightwing website that has fueled “crisis actor” claims and is facing consequences from YouTube as a result. Radio host Alex Jones, a leading conspiracy theorist and far-right pundit, has used YouTube’s clampdown to drum up interest in his attacks on the Florida students, presenting it as a “free speech” issue.

“If you believe your institutions are conspiring and then you expose it and then they ban your speech, how could you not think that that’s part of it?” said Joseph Uscinski, a University of Miami professor and conspiracy theory expert. If Jones and Infowars continue to face YouTube censorship, he added, “it will convince his fans that he’s on to something.”

I see he's facing quite a few lawsuits as well.

When all of the radio stations were liberal, conservative talk radio was born and now dominates some markets. By the same token, those who get sick of the liberal commentators on the other channels can get the opposite view from Fox News. (And before someone jumps the gun and says I'm endorsing these particular outlets, I'm not. I'm just saying that they provide an alternative to the cookie-cutter liberal media.) So isn't it way past time that some wealthy conservatives got together and formed their own social media to at least partially counterbalance all the liberal rot? Now please stay tuned for another cut-and-paste marshmallow assault by our leftist pal Jiminy Clickit.

Truth lies dead in the streets while so many who seek to suppress its resurrection try to hide themselves in garments of spiders webs while eating their own poison. Isaiah 59 too much describes our society today. And we wonder where justice went?

...Q is a pseudonym for a well-placed U.S. government agent who is posting online distress messages and bits of intel, known as “bread crumbs,” in an effort to save the country — and Trump — from hostile forces within the government. Sounds like Nazi Germany and any Communist society using the media for information control. These are private media companies who can do what they want, yet is is obvious no matter what they say what they are doing. People have got to close their accounts in large masses. They need to lose 50-60% traffic and things will change. I remember Frau Merkel speaking to Zuckerburg at an event asking him to do something about Germans speaking against the "migrants". He agreed. Little did they know that the Mic they were speaking near was hot. There is some government collusion with these folks. What governments and how much needs to be exposed. Us Believers have our residence in heaven. We are Pilgrims. We know what the end will be. No matter how much Satan and the world rage God wins. Psalm 2.

Facebook?? I wouldn't give them the time of day. They ban Alex Jones yet allow child sex abuse. When I was on it I reported a page called "the virgin Mary should of aborted". It DIDN'T go against their guidelines.

...Facebook unpublished four pages: the Alex Jones Channel Page, the Alex Jones Page, the Infowars Page and the Infowars Nightly News Page. They also suspended Alex Jones’ personal account, for his role in posting the content. Spotify removed all episodes of The Alex Jones Show.

What sparked their removal? The idea is similar throughout: Jones violated the social media platforms’ hate speech policies.

Facebook defines hate speech as "a direct attack on people based on what we call protected characteristics — race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, and serious disease or disability. We also provide some protections for immigration status. We define attack as violent or dehumanizing speech, statements of inferiority, or calls for exclusion or segregation." Youtube has a similar definition. Apple does not define hate, but writes that content may be removed or rejected if it could be construed as racist, misogynist, or homophobic, or depicts hate themes....
