The Church of Scientology announced Sunday (March 11) they're launching the Scientology Network, which will debut today on several streaming services.
"HELLO WORLD, and greetings from Scientology Media Productions in Hollywood, Calif., read a tweet from @ScientologyTV. "It's TIME for us to tell OUR story …"
The religion begun by science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard has been the focus of investigative projects such as the documentary film "Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief" and A&E's docuseries "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath." The two projects take a critical look at Scientology's practices and treatment of those who leave the organization....
When I saw this channel appear on my DirectTV guide my first thought was "Oh boy, another Satanic cult gone mainstream." Mormonism has gone mainstream, the prosperity gospel has gone mainstream and even appears to be endorsed in the White House with the likes of Paula White and Kenneth Copeland holding prayer meetings with the president. And of course Catholicism has been mainstream for decades. Add to the mixture the History Channel's relentless push to accept other worldly beings in their series "Ancient Aliens", and then consider that the electronic media is where it seems that most people are getting their education; we certainly have a spiritual/cultural disaster looming that is disturbing at best, and downright frightening at worse. Look up, our hope is in the Truth, which is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself! Hang on to your printed page Bibles, as I firmly believe that a time is coming when that will be the ONLY source of truth!
I heard a sermon once that explained that Star Trek was based on radical secular humanism, which is why it was set so far in the future because its creator assumed it would take that long for us to figure out how to get along. The reality of the reconciling action of the cross, bringing the redeemed to the Father through the Son and Holy Spirit, also brings believers together in reconciliation. Ephesians 2 pertains.
All these other nonsense religions which will cause us to evolve into better beings are all nonsense. No amount of external force we can exert will fix us. We need an internal change brought only by the Holy Spirit.
John Yurich asked, "Will Scientology broadcast on that network services from Scientology worship centers?" John, are you considering becoming a Catholic Baptist Scientologist? Sounds like a perfect trifecta.
I think you can make out an idol out of anything, even Star Trek. Does not mean Star Trek, or other Gene Roddenberry works are bad, secular, yes, but there is a lot of genius in Star Trek, especially dealing with technology, some of the ideas were ahead of it's time. Many of us would not be typing on computers or iPads if it wasn't a step by step evolution in computer science that was started by many sci-fi authors.
And speaking of science fiction writers who have made a lot of money, can't the same thing be said of Star Trek's creator, Gene Rottenberry? Some might say Star Trek and Star Wars are followed 'religiously' by many.
,Operation Clambake wrote: In the late 1940s, pulp writer L. Ron Hubbard declared:
"Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion"

Hubbard later created the Church of Scientology...
In a Nutshell
The Church of Scientology is a vicious and dangerous cult that masquerades as a religion. Its purpose is to make money. It practices a variety of mind-control techniques on people lured into its midst to gain control over their money and their lives. Its aim is to take from them every penny that they have and can ever borrow and to also enslave them to further its wicked ends.

The religion of the rich as it's probably known by the public, still makes you wonder what increadible obstacles are in the way of the rich actors, and celebrities to salvation. Their original sin, their money, their false teachers. I am always surprised at any celebrity who finds salvation, one of the Baldwin brothers and Shawn Michaels come to mind, who I believe are saved, but are in Hollywood churches that don't teach sound doctrine and provide a good foundation for a victorious Christian life.
