Cops destroy evangelical megachurch

Chinese authorities demolished the $2.6 million building of a 50,000-member evangelical congregation in the country’s northern Shanxi province.

The order to destroy the Golden Lampstand Church in the city of Linfen apparently came from China’s top officials instead of the less-powerful local authorities, according to the Christian organization China Aid.

The group explained that the communist country’s notorious military police, which carried out the demolition Jan. 9, has been under the direct control of the central government since the head of the public security bureau was arrested last year.

It’s the second large church building to be demolished in the province in the past month. ...

Romans 13 is abused by tyrants to get Christians to compromise. The NAZIs used it and they were training fema pastors during obama era under it.

Stop resisting, say you were a born again, Bible believing Christian, and living abroad, say, in South Korea, or China, etc.; any country that hates the God of the Bible. The local governing authority, the local police, or whoever, order you to murder a family; a mom, dad, a couple of toddlers, and a baby, because they converted to Christianity. Since God allowed these people to be in their leadership positions, do you followthrough on the order to kill because you must obey, according to your rendering of scripture?

31,102 verses in the Authorised Bible
Take them as they are.

Not like silly skeptics who isolate & make a silly claim like:

"In Ps 109:15...
God said He would blot out all remembrance of Amalek. The Bible itself disproves this statement by
mentioning Amalek to this day.”

See! The Bible makes this absolute statement that MUST be wrong!
¿Right?

Well, just as context of obedience to government includes spies like Hushai undercutting Ahithophel's counsel to destroy a king...(Absolom was ruling king in Jerusalem, Right?
But no one with any common sense would think Absolom's death was an evil to be charged to rebellious Hushai,
( feel free to find someone claiming that)
so,

In Ex17:14, God told Moses to “write this for a memorial in a book...” Moses did that &God preserved the Book for 5,000 years, so skeptics would know that God keeps every promise He makes. The phrase “I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven” means that he will blot them out
as a nation
from the earth.
There
are no descendants of the Amalekites on the earth.
They don’t exist.

Obvious context.

1 Pet 2:13 "Submit yourselves to EVERY ORDINANCE of MAN"
All powers and all ordinaces of man in all human history according to the bible is the ordinances of God, that thus includes Pharoah, Jezebel, the Mongols, Islamics, Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot Obama, Castro, Kim, Idi Amin, etc. etc. etc.
Resist any of them and you "shall receive damnation" since if you resist them you are resisting God himself since HE ORDAINED all of them and you are to "submit to EVERY one of their ordinances" or else.
Is that you JJ?

Romans 13:3

3 For RULERS are NOT A TERROR TO GOOD, BUT TO EVIL. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

So according to scripture rulers that are biblical are not a terror to good works but to the evil. Can that be said of the regimes you listed?

Nice try there. Trying to lump everything together is unwise.

Else the next ¿ verses for the day? Might be..
"And Judas went out and hanged himself."
"Go thou and do likewise" "What thou doest, do quickly!"
Hmmm..

In Acts 5 we read of the high priest and those with him being filled with indignation that so many of the sick gathered in Jerusalem so that Peter's shadow might fall on them for healing. They laid their hands on apostles and imprisoned them. An angel of the Lord loosed them from prison and commanded them to go speak in the temple the words of life.

Now read verse 28 which explains what the high priest and his company said to the apostles when they were brought before them again:

....Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

According to you this is then the ordinance of man and the apostles should have obeyed, right?

Then, if you're correct in your stance that is precisely what the apostles should have done to avoid the judgement of God. BUT instead we read:

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Oh dear! Seems you are wrong!

God teaches that we the faithful are to keep HIS commandments and we will overcome the world - And all its sinful ideologies.....

1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

Every word in the Bible is part of a sentence; every sentence is part of a paragraph; every paragraph is part of a book; and every book is part of the whole of Scripture.

Immediate context of a statement is the paragraph (or paragraphs) of the biblical book in question.
No text of Scripture is independent from the statements around it. Interpreting a text apart from its immediate context is like trying to make sense of a Rembrandt painting by looking at only a single square inch of the painting, or like trying to analyze Handel's "Messiah" by listening to a few short notes.

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.2Pet1:20

Ex1:15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:
16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.
18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?
19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.
20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Acts 4:19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

You can Submit to the laws of the nation.
BUT
You must NEVER disobey GOD!

Luke 20:25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

The power of prayers and the power of GOD in prayers.
1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Psalm 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

The idea that people are obligated to enthusiastically pay as much tax as they can is perverse&absurd (it’s also usually hypocritical, but I’ll set that aside). The view that all taxation is theft may not have much currency outside of hardcore libertarian circles. The opposite view, that there’s no such thing as ‘your money’&you have an absolute obligation to give up whatever the government thinks is fit, sadly seems to be gaining currency. (Sic)

The perspective that avoiding tax is inherently theft rests on some very peculiar assumptions. It needs to be accepted that current tax rates are either just, or not high enough, that the right things are being taxed in the right way, &that taking advantage of any loopholes is wrong.

For instance, in order to think that setting up a "company"to avoid income tax is immoral, you need to assume that:
(i) income should be taxed at a higher rate than"corporate"profits;
(ii) there is an obvious &absolute moral distinction between income&profit;
&
(iii) there are objective grounds to determine when it is legitimate to register a "company"
&what about government encouraged avoidance schemes, such as ISAs&tax relief for risky investments?
Is it wrong to take advantage of these?

...Certainly, no one enjoys paying the government money, especially when we feel it is too much. Yet the Bible tells us why we pay taxes. We pay taxes to compensate rulers who are "ministers of God" (Romans 13:4). God sees governing authorities as providing an honorable public service; therefore, they are worthy of compensation. Taxes are also necessary for running the government. I am concerned when people do not pay their taxes because of some supposed Christian convictions. Whatever convictions they have, they are not in agreement with Romans 13:6-7. This does not mean that government always does what is right with our tax money. In fact, government often uses our money in sinful ways. For instance, I do not enjoy seeing our tax money used to support things like abortion.... But the government is the one ultimately responsible for how they use our tax money. Our responsibility is to pay our taxes. How it is used is something for which we are not accountable.
