The new pro-life generation

Emily Curran expects opposition for her pro-life beliefs.

Her parents started taking her to prayer vigils outside abortion centers when she was a child, and she witnessed firsthand the vitriol abortion supporters sometimes hurl at people pleading for the lives of unborn babies. But that didn’t make it any easier to face the same kind of ridicule and derision in her own high-school cafeteria.

Once, while handing out abortion information at Dripping Springs High School near Austin, Texas, Curran endured a harangue from a fellow student that included a stinging (though untrue) personal attack: She must be pro-life because she was sleeping around. ...

Pro 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom & instruction.

Ecc 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God & keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

Instead of Rush Limbaugh, maybe we could call this the Jim from Lincoln SA show.

"Hello folks, the Jim from Lincoln, your liberal voice from Nebraska. Documented to be inaccurate in my presentation of so called facts 99.8% of the time."

Dems spent 30 million in Georgia and still lost the special election.

Jim, you mentioned "the racist policies of the Republican Party." A party's policies are clearly spelled out every four years in its platform for the presidential election. Would you please enumerate, by quoting from the Republican Party's 2016 platform, all of its racist policies or, failing to do so, would you please crawl under a rock and hide with your fellow vermin?

Listen to Rush Limbaugh? You really do have a sense of humor, UPS! Really droll.

Gentlemen, I believe all my quotes were from Catholics. They will eventually stop supporting you, especially when their priests start working on them a little harder. Now, I really don't care for Michael Stafford's support of a new Christian Democratic Party, even though he makes a good argument for it. But the racist policies of the Republican Party won't stand. As I believe all of the special elections have shown

The black voter will be motivated this time and he won't pay attention to whatever the polls say and still go to the voting booth, no matter what. It's too bad that old whities could make some accommodation for them!
Vann R. Newkirk II wrote:
...the Republican effort to repeal the law and create a replacement that leaves 22 million more people uninsured over the next decade and will slash Medicaid enrollment by 15 million now sits just days away from possible passage.

People of color were the most likely groups to gain coverage and access to care under the ACA, and in the centuries-old struggle over health, they have never been closer both to racial equality of, access and to, the federal protection of health care as a civil right. But if Republicans have their way, that dream will be deferred.

Curran joined the fight better prepared than most. Inspired by her parents’ pro-life activism, she attended two pro-life boot camps hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Later, she heard a presentation from Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins, who talked about the need for pro-life high-school leaders.

The above is from the article.

However, if they don’t get the above right, then there is no spiritual value to what they are doing. If a catholic protests outside an abortion clinic, lives may be saved but no fruit has been borne.

...according to Marcia Pally, a significant segment of younger "new evangelicals" are drifting away from the Republican Party and searching for a new political home - a movement that I believe is also occurring among Catholics. Pally attributes this migration to a dawning realization that "Christians should care about a wide range of social issues" in addition to abortion, ...

But if Christians are leaving the GOP, where are they to go? Towards what political destination are they headed?

If the errors of the political right lie in the embrace of a heartless and cruel economic libertarianism, then the errors of the left are rooted in the triumph of its mirror image: social libertinism.

The Democratic Party is the bastion of this left-liberal cultural consensus. Pro-abortion, heavily invested in divisive identity politics, committed to a libertine approach to many moral and social issues under the guise of individual freedom,....

Stop reading the liberal LA Times would be an excellent solution to the problem you put forth. Surprised you do as this is the paper that called then candidate Barak Hussein Obama the magic negro.

(sorry to burst your bubble there but it wasn't Limbaugh, he just made fun of them for so doing)

Below is a link, seeing you like them, that explains the truth about the infant morality rate in the U.S. and other countries (they are comparing apples to oranges) and why people like Karen Kaplan (she supports abortion and we are to think she cares about the infant mortality rate??? you can't be serious) and the liberal media are distorting the truth and lying to you Jim. Never trust a liberal source, it will save you hours of wasted time on the internet.

Michael Stafford wrote:
... George Monboit (no friend of religion's role in politics) has correctly described the GOP's brand of libertarianism as

"a pitiless, one-sided, mechanical view of the world, which elevates the rights of property over everything else, meaning that those who possess the most property end up with great power over others. Dressed up as freedom, it is a formula for oppression and bondage. It does nothing to address inequality, hardship or social exclusion. A transparently self-serving vision, it seeks to justify the greedy and selfish behaviour of those with wealth and power."

This is a soulless, materialist, view of the world that transforms unbounded greed and selfishness into positive goods. It is a recipe for creating a reckless and irresponsible rent-seeking elite, and then keeping it in power. It bears no resemblance to the world-view articulated in the Sermon on the Mount.

These younger workers protect vulnerable people like the women in the upcoming film like young skull full of mush "perfect pawn” Norma McCorvey, the
"Jane Roe" of Roe v. Wade,
the U.S. Supreme Court decision that allowed abortion on demand in 1973.
McCorvey later became pro-life and fought to overturn the infamous ruling that bears her name. She and others attested to her being mistreated and used by abortion activists to achieve their deadly agenda.

The upcoming Roe vs Wade film will examine the lies and manipulative tactics of abortion activists,
people like McCorvey and Nathanson who later had a change of heart,
and dedicated pro-life advocates like heroine ( like Exodus baby experts Shiprah&Puah)
Dr. Mildred Jefferson, the first African American woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School
who fought valiantly to defend the right to life for babies in the womb.

The film also will address the racism intertwined in the abortion industry through Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger and others, and
Jefferson’s fight for unborn babies as well as people of color.

Wow, Jim finds an article that is anti capitalism and pro-socialism, (what do you expect from a liberal rag that no one reads like Time magazine) that advocates doing nothing about abortion that doesn't include making government a nanny state and is written by the executive director at Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good.

Pro life means we are trying to stop the murder of the innocents regardless of the sentiments of "the minds and hearts of the American public." and what they support.

From the guy that criticizes all the conservative sources that are cited on SA as unreliable, we are given the opinion of a RCC higher up and the Pope (click the link Jimbo for economy that kills). We all know the Pope and the Catholic church are great sources for truth.

Screwtape: Don’t lose heart, Wormwood. We are implementing a plan to impair the whole Church with a single ploy.

Wormwood: I don’t see how that will be possible. I see Christians dedicated to rebuking baby murderers.👿 It’s all I can do just to get one of them distracted for a short time.

Screwtape: We are going to use their Leader’s own words.

Wormwood: No! Please don’t. Don’t even joke about using His words. I can’t take it.

Screwtape: If you’re ever going to grow up to be an effective demon, you’re going to have to learn to use the Enemy’s words against Him.

Wormwood: It just seems so dangerous. Which words are you going to use?

Screwtape: “Judge not!”😈

Wormwood: I don’t understand why He would tell them not to judge. That’s confusing. He commanded His followers to rebuke, admonish, &judge hundreds of times in His Book. & that’s what they’re out there
doing.&I might add, it’s causing me grief.

Screwtape: When their Leader said those words, He was speaking to hypocrites. “Judge not.. ¡hypocrite!"He said in the same paragraph.

Wormwood:Yeah, but how are we going to use “Judge not” to neutralize the whole Church?

Screwtape:We’re going to get them to ignore the fact that He was talking to hypocrites.

Sadly, the pro-life movement has been largely unsuccessful in changing the minds and hearts of the American public. Four decades after the Roe v. Wade decision, a majority of Americans support abortion rights.

Perhaps it’s because too often this venerable movement has been associated with partisan politics. But if understood correctly, this crucial social justice issue should be at the heart of both of the progressive and conservative agenda. Progressives believe in a big society, where no one is excluded and no one is left behind. And conservatives believe in the the dignity and autonomy of each individual person. Both of these political paradigms should include a home for the unborn.

But for the pro-life movement to be more successful going forward — especially among young people — it must shift directions and expand its agenda....

... In this economy that kills, we must acknowledge that anyone who isn’t seen as valuable in the economic advancement to the United States is often left behind, including the unborn, but also the elderly, the poor, the immigrant, and the uninsured. These excluded persons must too be at the heart of the pro-life movement.
