Pope Francis to meet Buddhist monks
Pope Francis will next month meet Myanmar's top Buddhist monks, its military generals and civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi when he visits that country and Bangladesh, both of which are caught up in a crisis over the Rohingya Muslim minority.

According to a programme of the trip from November 26 to December 2, released yesterday by the Vatican, the Pope will say two Masses in Buddhist-majority Myanmar and one in Bangladesh, which is predominantly Muslim.

Francis will be the first pope to visit Myanmar and the second to visit Bangladesh, after Pope John Paul's trip in 1986. ...

It is obvious that Pope Francis is a good diplomat, if nothing else.
BBC wrote:
The Pope told a group of 16 refugees at an interfaith meeting in the capital Dhaka: "The presence of God today is also called Rohingya."

He refrained from using the term on his earlier visit to Myanmar, which does not regard Rohingya as an ethnic group.

Some 620,000 Rohingya refugees have fled Myanmar since August.

--Pope Francis uses term Rohingya in Bangladesh meeting
Now the article contains good amount of detail on the Rohingyas and it also gives some detail on Pope Francis which of course as Christians we would consider inaccurate Now the pope being a bishop will exhibit many of the same properties as
America‚Äôs Catholic Bishops, besides that he is also the first Jesuit Pope, Who Are the Jesuits? Why the First Jesuit Pope Could Signify the ‚ÄėNew Evangelization‚Äô of Christians. Like all popes he stands against Christianity, The Pope and the Papacy

you are quite correct, Chris.

John, he's only following the ecumenical path paved by Pope John Paul II back in the 80's.

Antipope John Paul II, Angelus Address, Oct. 12, 1986: ‚ÄúIn a few days we shall go to Assisi, representatives of the Catholic Church, of other Christian Churches and ecclesial communities, and of the great religions of the world, I issued this invitation to ‚Äėbelievers of all religions.‚ÄĚ

He held another pagan prayer meeting in Assissi in 2002, and among others, invited a vodoo high priest to the pulpit to pray.

In both of these meetings, 100 religious leaders from around the world were invited to pray, and several invited to place their god's on the pulpit. Buddhists, mNnks, African witch doctor's, Shintoists, Taoists, Muslims, you name it, they were there, and he even allowed the mark of the adorers of the Hindu God, Shiva, to be placed on his forehead which there's a photo of.

After all, according to him, we all pray to the same God, but have different paths to Heaven.
