Sessions ends revenue stream for Obama's lefties

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is pulling the plug on a Justice Department policy instituted during the Obama years that effectively forced corporations to settle lawsuits by, in part, funding Obama’s favorite leftist political organizations, a practice many critics considered a liberal slush fund.

“When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people – not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” said Sessions in a statement.

Former Justice Department official Hans von Spakovsky is now with the Heritage Foundation. He is also co-author of “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.” He calls the former policy nothing more than the government stealing from the American people.

“It’s pretty clear the Obama administration ...

UPS, and others I could have given a more helpful answer:
Sarah Bailey wrote:
"It’s no secret that many Christians harbor deep skepticism of the “liberal media elite.” Some have been burned by the media, noting unfair or unfriendly coverage from the past. “I never just accept what newspapers say about people. I’ve seen them get facts, quotes, and reasons wrong far too many times,” California pastor Rick Warren wrote on Twitter earlier this year. Or, as popular blogger Jon Acuff has suggested, Christians tend to treat the secular media as though it were Satan’s newspaper....
"But carrying an unhealthy cynicism toward the media can rattle our sense that there is indeed knowable truth. Instead, the savvy Christian should seek to gather several pieces of information and ideas before filtering them through what he or she knows to be true. We can look to media accounts to begin to understand general revelation, God’s providential work manifested in the world around us...."

You mean UPS you can't sort out where the more reliable liberal sources might go wrong

Now Jeffy, has some other ideas that have been proven not to work, and yes, it is quite obvious that Republicans care nothing for the poor. Another example,

Nick Schou wrote:
While much of the media is focused on Trump’s Russian skullduggery, America has quietly found itself enmeshed in the worst drug epidemic in our history. Drug overdoses, mostly from increasingly lethal opioids, now kill more people than guns and traffic accidents. A recent investigation by The New York Times of local and state authorities across the country came to a staggering conclusion—that somewhere between 59,000 and 65,000 people died of drug overdoses in 2016, a nearly 20% spike in a single year, the paper estimates.

2017 is gearing up to be just as bad, or worse.

--America’s War on Drugs Was Designed to Fail. So Why Is It Being Revived Now?

It isn't mentioned in the above article, Bad Billy Clinton mentioned that his harsh sentences for no violent drug offenders was a mistake--when he was out of office--and I think he still failed to admit about Narco-NAFTA.

Is this a joke?? None of Jim's "fact check" sources are reliable, they all put a liberal spin on their "facts" with false presuppositions.. The NYT and Salon are the epitome of fake, distorted news.

Then one wonders about the lies Jim post when he falsely posts that Republicans and conservatives have disdain for the weak and the sick.

Chauncey Devega wouldn't see the truth if it was put right in front of his face. He didn't even mention that more are without insurance under Obamacare than with the Obamacare lite of the Republicans, just spread same old mainline distortions of the truth. The word additional is not in the partisan CBO report.

10:4 He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich

12:24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

13:4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty

looks like the Republicans and Republican leaning agree with what is in the Bible.

Freshmen and seniors at about 200 colleges across the U.S. take a little-known test every year to measure how much better they get at learning to think. The results are discouraging.

At more than half of schools, at least a third of seniors were unable to make a cohesive argument, assess the quality of evidence in a document or interpret data in a table, The Wall Street Journal found after reviewing the latest results from dozens of public colleges and universities that gave the exam between 2013 and 2016.

At some of the most prestigious flagship universities, test results indicate the average graduate shows little or no improvement in critical thinking over four years.

For prospective students and their parents looking to pick a college, it is almost impossible to figure out which schools help students learn critical thinking, because full results of the standardized test, called the College Learning Assessment Plus, or CLA+, are seldom disclosed to the public. This is true, too, of similar tests. …

Tests such as the CLA+ can be used to fulfill a mandate by accreditors for schools to show that they are trying to assess and improve the education they provide.

"the shocking revelations exposed in the WikiLeaks .....

▪ DNC funneled money into the Clinton campaign violating federal election laws.

▪ DNC compiled a list of high-dollar donors who would receive appointments to presidential commissions and boards.

▪ DNC aided and abetted Black Lives Matter and other anarchist protest groups.

▪ DNC staff members made racist jokes about a black woman’s name, mocked the LGBT community and made anti-Semitic comments.

▪ DNC colluded with liberal media outlets in writing anti-Bernie Sanders, pro-Clinton, pro BLM and anti-cop news articles.

Hillary Clinton kept up her lying ways by again playing the “I didn’t know anything about it” card. Then immediately hired former DNC chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz to co-chair her election committee.

The Democratic Party of today isn’t the Democratic Party of old. They’re no longer just liberals. Today they openly profess their progressive socialist agenda."

Why educated people voted for Obama, Mike of NY:
Chauncey DeVega wrote:
Why do Republicans and conservatives have such disdain for the weak, the vulnerable and the sick? Why do they want to kill the “useless eaters?” What does this tell us about how Republicans and conservatives view the world, as well as their relationships and obligations to other human beings?

A new survey from the Pew Research Center offered some helpful insights on these questions:

In assessing why some people are poor, 53% think it is because of circumstances beyond their control, while 34% attribute it to a lack of effort. There has been little change in these opinions in recent years, according to a (survey in December.)

By about three-to-one (66% to 21%), Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say hard work, rather than a person’s advantages, has more to do with why someone is rich. By nearly as wide a margin, Democrats and Democratic leaners say the opposite: ...

""the Obama administration figured out a way to rob the public and help their political allies,” ..... a lot of money going to Obama’s political friends.""

Liberalist Left politicians wherever they operate in the world are an obvious bunch of crooks. The curious thing about it is how many voters support and follow them.

Today we see the worst moral corruption emanating from government and politicians in the western nations. Yet the people still vote for more of the same?

Is it because the voters are just as crooked as the politicians?

Two big issues abortion and homosexual lifestyle emerge from the moral corruption of society. Why should people support these two agendas in society when they are obviously criminal and wicked?

Eph 6:12 says
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Do we then accept that todays generation is firmly dominated by rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness? In a world run by these two entities the wicked and the crooked are the heroes and role models. Has sin so influenced the voters that they select the worst shyster or scoundrel for the job?

John of UK, I took my own advice and looked into other sources, while Fox news is not a liberal source, I saw it and the Wall St. Journal reported on the same thing, Get Your Facts Right – 6 Fact Checking Websites That Help You Know The Truth and one you should add, (Media Bias/Fact Check) besides this from the NY Times, Skills and Strategies | Fake News vs. Real News: Determining the Reliability of Sources. Or a more simplistic article, (Fake Or Real? How To Self-Check The News And Get The Facts).
Fox News wrote:
"Since 2010, I've been working to shine a light on these misdeeds and to get answers from the Department," Grassley said. "Today's announcement is welcomed news for those of us who respect the rule of law and demand a more accountable government."

I would have wished that SA had pick the above source first!
