âThe Climate Reality Project brought its âIâm Too Hotâ trucks and offers of free ice cream to this weekâs Environmental Protection Agency hearings on power-plant emissions, but the climate wasnât cooperating,â wrote Times reporter Valerie Richardson. âWhen the hearings began at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Denver, the temperature was a chilly 58 degrees. Plus, it was raining.â
The Climate Reality Project was organized by one Al Gore. The Times item was picked up by Fox News, which also included it in an online community site with the headline âClimate doesnât cooperate with Al Gore.â
That, in turn, apparently did not sit well with CNN correspondent Bill Weir, who tweeted this in reaction: âWeather is not climate, you willfully ignorant -âsticksâ, though he spelled out the word in question. Mr. Weirâs comment was retweeted 1,900 times by late Thursday....
