Say, "John UK" that is a good idea. Why don't you show us how that would work and post it on your Facebook page?

It is interesting the study appears in the Journal of Financial Planning, with the suggestion for a solution: create a new 'cohabitation agreement' which really sounds more like a marriage contract.
If you listen to the third most popular radio talk show today, Dave Ramsey's financial solutions, you will hear him field calls from people who are living together without marriage, and he always recommends they get married before doing any financial planning together.
His company just finished a long study on millionaires, and it would be interesting to see how marriage worked into that. You could argue a married couple with a million dollar net worth should not be called 'millionaires' since there are 2 people, and each would have only $500,000 if they divorced. They should have a net worth of $2 million to be called Millionaires.
But the real question is...did both husband and wife have to work to make this possible?
I guess we have gotten past the old restriction that says the woman should stay at home, 'barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen'.

The situation in Britain is interesting, 'Chris' for those in Britain. The TV license fee is still being collected? How? Is it just part of your annual income taxes or do they send someone to your door to collect? I've seen the vans they send out to detect illegal use of TV, which is probably why that old TV show, "The Prisoner" with Patrick McGoohan, got its start.
There is no way the US would ever accept such a fee or monopoly of the govt over TV.
But, at the same time, 'high brow' radio stations here will have the BBC World News at the top of each hour.

Boy, don't you think these endless discussions of theology to be as fascinating (and useful) as watching a dog chase his tail?
Now, back to watching reality TV for something really important!

Maybe they could contact the Institute for Justice that helps fight these cases of government over-reach.
