Great Sermon! An excellent message that is needed for all Christians in this day & age. Thankful for your exhortation to be pure in seeking a godly spouse & reject the world's system of dating around, which is essentially fornication. It is so imoprtant for fathers to look after their children & for parents to help their children come to the altar of holy marriage pure & ready for the wonderful union that is set apart from all other relationships.
Thank you! Thank you pastor for speaking Gods truth. I had felt conversation about how I speak and feel towards those God has placed in power. I had read Romans 13-16 to my children the past few nights. I was a professional Christian since I was a teen but the Lors saved me May-June 2019 on the floor of my children room reading the Bible to them. Since then the Lord has been purging false teachings and American Rights out of me. We are pilgrims. This is not our home and all belongs to the Lord. So much joy in that now.
Thank you for Loving the Lord and being obedient to Him in your teaching. God has used it to straingnthen my conversations and obedients to my Savior.
Gods grace be upon you and my fellow brothers and sisters.
Sermon rich with spiritual truth!!! What a blessing this sermon was for me. To anyone with doubt (i.e. humans in general) this is the sermon for you. It will sanctify and reassure you. Praise God for doctrinally sound preaching!
Great Sermon! What a delight to listen to Brother Gary. He has been such an encouragement in the Lord. His messages preach Christ and Him crucified! I have listened and grown in knowledge and understanding by the Lord's sovereign mercy! I am so grateful God is converting and drawing His peope to Himself. I rejoice in God's faithfulness in using Brother Gary to give the true gospel so consistantly. It is so precious to hear the truth!
May the Lord, our Righteousness, be praised and glorified! Thank you, Brother Gary! I am praying for the Lord to bless you mightily for His glory!
In Christ alone,
Emily
Etymology Question I’ve really been enjoying listening through this series while at work. I’ve had a couple questions throughout, but didn’t realize I could comment. I know now! :) anyway, I was wondering where your source is for feminine coming from fe minus (meaning lacking faith). I found one source that mentioned that as an etymology, but everything else says it’s simply from the Latin femina literally meaning she who suckles.
I was just wondering if there are other sources I’m missing. Or if perhaps that is just what people during the inquisition/medieval times thought the etymology was.
In UK and US it is legal to know gender of baby and found good article which shares that Parents raising 'theybies' let kids decide and way of shielding children from gender stereotypes.

Good Word! Thank you for this message!
When I hear preachers and teachers talk about "carnal Christians, I often wonder how they reconcile that view with scripture. For example, Phil. 2:13 says "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." God saves us where we're at, but He does not leave us there. True believers receive the grace of sanctification, which power works in us throughout our lives.
"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." (Rom. 8:7). If the carnal mind is enmity against God and not subject to His law, how can there be such a thing as a carnal Christian?
Dr. Johnston, you make a wonderful biblical case against the "carnal Christian" teaching, and it is a breath of fresh air!
I sadly I can see this happening in America. All I will say is be grounded in God's word. Live according to It. DO NOT coward down to men. Why fear men when you should fear God even more so. I will speak the truth no matter what and I hope you will too!
Great Sermon! The only way I can believe someone has truly been to heaven and back is if their goal is not to do their own will but God's will. And strive for saving many from eternal damnation. For who can stand face to face with God and not change their ways completely. We must as believers go back to the scriptures in these times of false prophets leading us astray. But God's word will never lead us astray for He is perfect and holy. May the Bible be you foundation which it can never be destroyed. Ask our Father in heaven for protection against false prophets ask Him that you will not fall for their unbiblical messages. I will pray that His people will not fall for such things.
A good thing to remember The only way I can believe someone has been to heaven and back is if their life has been turned around to see that God's word is completely true and they strive to save many from eternal damnation. If Jesus is not their main focus their experience CANNOT be true. Who stand in the very presence of God face to face and not focus on His glory. We must as believers turn to the word of God for ansers
A Must Hear! This teaching will greatly encourage you and help you stay focused on Jesus when life's storms are raging. Of all the good sermons on this subject here on SermonAudio, this one by Rev. Sterritt is my top pick!

I agree that i have a narrow view of home-schooling.
I, like you, want the best for my children. I want them to grow into Godly young men.
I went to gov't school and I became a Christian. I don't think it negatively influenced me all that much. I know it's worse now, But is it that bad that we should abandon it?
Kenny, I'm curious as to how home-schooling is done in the US. I would like to see some positive home-schooling experiences.
So you're saying that after a child has completed their schooling (by whatever means) they are then capable to go out into the world alone, and not before? We go out into institutions for most of the day when we work, or attend University. Should this be our first experience of attending an institution for most of the day? Wouldn't you say that attending an institution with the support of parents to help and guide them through each day, is far better than saying 'now you're on your own, remember everything i taught you!' I know of some children who were home-schooled. Now they are not serving God, struggle to keep down a job, are poorly educated and have little social skills. I believe this is a reflection of a sheltered upbringing and home-schooling. I believe many important things can be learned for public schooling. Including the sinfulness of man, and things that do not glorify God! I believe it is easy to show children that they should behave differently to their peers when they can see a contrast to the behaviour of Christians and non-Christians.
