Here is an interesting thought. How many wealthy successful blacks live in black communities? My guess is none or very few. If they want to see change and more prosperity, then they should move into them. And so should pastors who say that they believe the Gospel is one of peace and reconciliation. No longer is there black or white, rich or poor, but one in Christ. Yet white pastors do the same as unconverted wealthy black men. If anyone should integrate any neighborhood it should be Christians who know what our calling is; to all people. But pastors black or white have succumbed to the bigger barn syndrome. |

I could be wrong but it may be the latter if you can call the ministers that God has appointed "stupid cowards" as if Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13-17 were never given to us. There is already a huge lack of respect for authority which is part of the problems we are seeing and your comment adds to the problem.
Please don't take offence, brother. This may just be a blind spot of which I'm sure I have many. Furthermore, we weep because people think that the president is on God's side by holding up his, Trump's, talisman. I wonder if he rubbed it real good. God has been profaned at every level of our government and our country. The real coward was the official who simply "fired" the officers involved in murder. Romans 13 tells us that these officials are to keep the wicked in line because they are lawless and unruly. However, we have One to rule over the believer. He is LORD! His name is Jesus. He causes his character to shine forth in us in order to draw men unto himself. The police and many elected officials don't see Christ in his church, his Body. |
