It is strange that I have not heard of this term--at least, it hasn't appeared in the local TV news, nor in my local newspaper. Maybe it's something to read between the lines, and since most of those 2 sources are controlled by liberals, I don't bother paying them much attention.
It reminds me of what Jesus said about letting each day take care of itself, so we shouldn't pile up worries about things that might happen. And that's why 'fear not' is one of the most common commands in the Bible.

Interesting news. I had read that the wave of Muslim immigrants in Scandinavia had left Finland because it was too cold, and maybe, there were less generous social welfare benefits than the other countries. Norway, with its surplus income from North Sea oil, has more to hand out.

I love this story! It reminds me of the old survey that said husbands spend more time watching TV than conversing with their spouses or children. So it makes perfect sense to say 'he is married to his laptop'
And I hate to say this...but I am writing this comment....on my...laptop!

And that is why i read the obituary notices every day to see if Soros appears, though seriously, I like to read them to see what role religion plays in the lives of the people mentioned (so far, very little, and many funeral services are not held in any building associated with religion).

Seems to me that the pot-bellied dictator will look to attack neighbors like South Korea or Japan. If I drove made in those 2 countries, I might be worried. What is interesting is that some people in South Korea are protesting the installation of a missile that has a chance of stopping his missiles (not to say it's perfect). It could be that they are paid--like the ones George Soros pays for in the USA--by North Korea. Maybe the US needs to withdraw its entire military from the Demilitarized Zone between the 2 Koreas, and let the dictator send his troops right into downtown Seoul, which isn't that far away.

If people knew how few of these people exist, they would not make a big issue of it. There are probably many more left-handed people with moles on their right hand than these people.
But Dems see them as an essential part of their base. Funny thing is that the big lie is that there is some kind of cosmic unity among the L, the G, the B, the L, and the T. There none, except for these political issues.

Interesting bit about changing the names of their churches to eliminate the denominational name-plate.
It's like the denominations figured out people were not that 'into' their Baptist or Methodist names, so they decided to drop them. Only problem--what happens to the main denominational offices--do they change their name too?

i think mr. dawkins was right on the money in pointing out the many problems he has with islam. but this will be swept under the rug by the news media because they don't want to think they are inciting violence against muslims.
if more people knew about islam, they would not want to have them immigrate into their country. aren't there 57 countries where muslims dominate? that should give them enough to choose among.
even islam teaches that there is a world of islam and 'all the rest'

Boy, this story really sprung wings!
Every news item about astronomy, like next month's solar eclipse, brings out the atheists like food at a picnic brings out the ants.
I listen to a local radio station that has an astronomer on weekly, and it's interesting to hear a Christian or two call in to try to convince him of the existence of God. It happens every week, and never works. Even the host ends up restating his own lack of belief in God.
It is like this new WW-2 movie that some people are seeing all kinds of Christian motifs in it, when there is none obvious.
In history there was, but it was left out of the movie. So why get all excited about it as being some kind of defining Christian movie?

Although it is all available online, I doubt many people review the exact doctrines that each church teaches, before deciding to show up at their local branch on Sunday mornings.
When they do go, they look for children's programs, singles programs, senior's programs, etc. What serves me best--that's the motto.
That's why large churches that offer programs in those 3 basic areas can continue to attract people, while the small churches are dying out. There was a news story here about how the United Methodist denomination is closing many of their branches. And then the one about Fuller Theological Seminary closing its branches, which is very significant---if you don't have students in seminaries, how can you have preachers to serve in the local branches?
