I wonder what people would say if the headline went...

"Airline passenger stands for six hour so her husband can sleep"...

God designed us to build one, lifetime relationship with one woman. We you build these short, shallow dating relationships you are essentially giving your heart to people in small, miserable bits...

It causes you to have a low veiw of marriage since you already have been in deep emotional relationships before. Marriage become nothing new or special, except now you pay the bills together...

Meanwhile, having only one solid relationship with you wife causes you to cherish and value it more. All that you know and learn about having a bond is from her and her only. It makes for a much more trusting, stable, and happy marriages...

Of course pretty much everyone on here is married already, but this is how I see it, being unmarried and never been (nor plan to be) in any boy/girl relationship except with my future wife...

And I'll tell you what, the girls these days are crazy. It will be a blessing from the Lord to find someone who actually loves God and understands our purpose for being on Earth...

John UK...

That must be weird seeing a hedgehog as roadkill!

I have never seen a hedgehog, must less a wild pheasant. If I did see either one of those, it would certainly make my day!

Down here on the land we have seen racoons, deer, bobcat, rabbits, armadillos, and of course oppossums...

What will it be, Frank? Lamb, potato and three veg, gravy with mint in vinegar? Followed by raspberries and ice cream? Coffee?

We all know what true Americans eat...

Oppossum...

Benny Hinn has a lot of other extreme theological errors other than his veiw on the prosperity gospel...

Just take a quick look at his YouTube channel filled with "Miracle Crusades", slaying in the spirit, and casting out bad spirits. He has a lot of severely misleading lies, that still categorize him as a wolf in sheep's clothing, even if he changed his veiw on how his business receives money...

Babies don't start breathing after they are born. Babies start breathing when the umbilical cord is created...

Just because oxygen is given through the belly button versus the mouth, doesn't change anything concerning the babies viability...

These wicked people will try anything to murder the most innocent and defenseless of our culture...

So many here gave excuses on why they would NEVER forgive Benny Hynn."

If someone walked up to you and said, "I just robbed the bank, can you forgive me" you wouldn't really have a reason to forgive him, as he didn't do anything against you...

Just so Benny Hinn didn't do anything against anyone here (that I know of) so we can't really do anything in the area of forgiveness...

However, I believe we should always be cautious when people of great wickedness claim to have come to the light. Does that make me unforgiving? No, it just makes me cautious. I don't want to claim people as children of God until Christ has clearly shown His light through their actions and words...

I pray that the Lord has saved his soul, but I certainly won't be naive enough to think a few statements represent a change of heart...

Studying the classics is a very broad statement.

What is considered the classics?

I think we should be very careful when it comes to studying the world's "philosophers". Just because they are the Dawkins, Darwins, and Mark Twain's of the past, doesn't make them any less wicked...

These great literary and
philosophical giants, are very good at tricking the mind by using grand and intelligent writings styles. I personally don't see any use in reading "Romeo and Juliet", or studying Plato's flawed veiw of the innate goodness of man...

They used their amazing skills at writing to create mind worlds where God is not wanted or needed. All of which is so incredibly flawed it makes me not want read them just because of that...

John UK says...
JAG, it is what I call a tongue-in-cheek argument, which means it is not to be taken seriously."

I am not trying to make the point that our churches should look like a Pentecostal/punk rock concert. Your veiw of this Psalm is tainted by the culture you live in. You automatically put cymbals and dancing into the "no go" section because that is considered wild, and disorganized in our society. Every culture has different instruments, and in the Israelite culture, cymbals and dancing was their form of paino, guitar, etc...

But regardless, please look past the instruments and look at the instructions the psalmist is making...

God is pleased by us using instruments to praise Him. He enjoys the sounds of musical skills being used to glorify Him. What better time to please Him than when we are gathered together to worship!...

Many of the Psalms were written for "stringed instruments" in addition to the "choir director" and since the book of Psalms is a book of praise to God, I believe we should follow it's methods in worship...

Psalm 150...

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

God apparently enjoys his people using the giftings of instrument playing to praise Him. The use of instruments is all throughout the old testament...

It would be sort of interesting to hear a voice only group singing Psalm 150...

Chris000 says...
Seems to me that when it comes to the kids, it's more of a fad,"

Absolutely correct...

I try to think of the horror of it by using the past. Imagine a little boy going through this back in 1950. That would mean he would be a 70 year old man to today! A man that never had the chance to develop through puberty, never had the chance to father kids, and instead lives the rest of his life confused, frustrated, and underformed. All for the wickedness of long gone generations, he would continue to live a life of misery...

How many children will be sacrificed on the alters of abortion, and wickedness? How many live will be changed forever to satisfy the perversions of a generation past...

Eradicate gender...?

What will the generations 100 years from now think about us...

You can cut off, add on, and act however you want, but you can't get rid of yourself. Someone who wants to "switch genders" is suffering from an issue much deeper than discontentment. They have a heart issue that can only be solved by the blood of Jesus Christ...

If they think that physical or mental mutilation will make them happy, they need to go read the thousands of years of history that show that humans have never found contentment in the things of earth...

Great...

Now in order to follow the Bible, we have to get rid of anything that could be used as a weapon, AND becomes plant eaters...

I guess I'll move to the top of some mountain and only eat oatmeal out of a softened paper bowl. Cause you know, a hard paper bowl could cut someone...
