John for JESUS wrote: The Bible tells us faith is not a work. Couldnât you as a believer just agree with that? Instead you want to pretend that God has to put a magic spell on someone to make them believe?
John for; There is NO magic in God's works John. Can't you tell the difference between "carnally minded" - and "spiritually minded"???
Faith is the work of the Holy Spirit. Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the WORKING of HIS mighty POWER"
""that many things in Scripture are âinconsistent internally, and youâve got to decide what sense to make of it.""
Rewriting Scripture is not an option Mr Buttigieg.
If God states in black and white that you are an abomination - THEN you are an abomination.
There are NO inconsistency's with GOD!!
The Bible was written by God, who also states: Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" V:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie,"
You are therefore charged with sin and the wrath of God is upon you.
John for; Faith is the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the elect. Until HE arrives then faith does not exist in the mortal.
WCF 14/1 The grace of faith, whereby the elect are enabled to believe to the saving of their souls,a is the work of the Spirit of Christ in their hearts,b and is ordinarily wrought by the ministry of the Word;c by which also, and by the administration of the sacraments and prayer, it is increased and strengthened.d"

Tradesmen should share their expertise with children for a future career.
School teachers - (A vocation) - of Maths, language, writing and science should be trained to teach the children in the community.
Schools are and should be a valid teaching tool for children in the community.
The Bible and the Holy Spirit teaches Christians to become Christians.
Parents are not always qualified to teach their children in all subjects, or in preparation for a vocation.
Because GOD does not provide that all parents will be qualified to teach.
This is reality in the human race. Just because the non-christians do not comprehend Bible doctrine does not mean they are ignorant of academic subjects.
Governments are under the "authority" of God. Hence:- Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."
John for JESUS wrote: Er...sounds like they could repent and be baptized to receive eternal life. ⏠As a matter of fact, whoever wants to may have eternal life! Isnât it good to know God loves the world that much?
Oh Look!!! Salvation by works!!!!
Haven't seen that for ages.
John for ? Try to remember God's in charge and try giving HIM the glory.
John 6:44 'NO' man 'CAN' come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Unprofitable Servant wrote: If I pay for a plane ticket online and then print it out and go to the airport to board my plane, when I go through security, the gates and board the plane I donât pay any money at the point of use
If every journey by aircraft was free and the taxation collected paid for these flights; - Then that would be closer analogy to "free at the point of use."
Individual Paying for every personal procedure at the time of every visit to the doc is different from collective taxation running a national service.
This info is "Free at the point of use." However you will still have to pay your electric bill to cover it.
"The United States has more Christians than any other country in the world. Going forward from its foundation, the United States has been called a Protestant nation by a variety of sources."
"However, to keep their status as tax-exempt organizations they must not officially endorse a candidate. There are Christians in both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, but evangelical Christians tend to support the Republican Party whereas more liberal Christians, Catholics and secular voters tend to support the Democratic Party."
Every President and Vice President, was raised in a family with affiliations with Christian religions. Only former President John F. Kennedy, and former Vice President Joe Biden were raised in Roman Catholic families. Two former presidents, Richard Nixon and Herbert Hoover, were raised as Quakers. All the rest were raised in families affiliated with Protestant Christianity. However, many presidents have themselves had only a nominal affiliation with churches, and some never joined any church." ""Majority of churchgoers, especially evangelicals, share political opinions of clergy""
"Majority" of members of the visible church are not the elect.
Many (or even most) of the "churchgoers" and "evangelicals" are not true Christians.
The politics of left and right are unavoidable in the community. Just as opinions on the way the nation is travelling; - And who to blame for the "mess"
But the curious thing about left and right seems to emerge within the church types. Anglicans seem to be on the left. Episcopalians seem to be of the same ilk. Ch. of Scotland appears to be predominantly on the left. The popes and their graven image worshipers seem to be of the left also.
It would seem to be the case that heretics belong to the left.
Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left."

Western countries such as USA and UK are gradually heading to that point too.
The Lord's predictions in Matthew chapter Five are becoming a reality in these modern Lefty-Liberalist times.
China and the communist government nations are demonstrating their innate fears of a Christian takeover, even though they cannot perceive that. That has been obvious in history from these nations such as Russia.
Satan and the forces of darkness (Eph6:12) are "using" the atheist mortals to combat and conflict all and any vestige of Christianity. But the reprobates are blind and ignorant of the truth.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
From Article:: ""why say that the man-made beliefs we happen to call âsecularâ may be in the public square, but the man-made beliefs we happen to call âreligiousâ may not be? If theyâre all man-made, wherein lies the difference?""
What an excellent point.
Of course the problem with the secular atheist community is that they believe everything stems from human conviction. So if that is the truth then it becomes a simple matter of 'change of mind'
Faith comes from God and NOT from human faculty. Just as the Bible was written by God and not sinners.
But God keeps the reprobates in ignorance and alienated from the life of God. (Eph 4:18)
Part of the trials and tribulations (and persecutions) of Christian life comes from the ignorance and blindness of the majority of human beings on earth.
Ultimately though these poor reprobate atheists living in the darkness are going to live in eternal hell. Meanwhile Satan and sin run their hearts, minds and lives. And they are completely oblivious to the fact.
The reprobate atheists cannot accept sin's influence within themselves. But..... 1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
"This is usually attributed to Benjamin Franklin, who wrote in a 1789 letter that âOur new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes."
Taxes being sooo "certain" It would be soooo nice to get something back for 'free'.
Even if only at the point of use when you need it most.
I have a friend who married an American. She was working in America for years but developed a mental health problem. She returned to the UK, with her husband, because even with both their wages they couldn't afford to remain in the US with the expense of her illness. He was a USAF officer. She was a nurse. Over here their is no big expense preventing her treatment.
