It's a fact that even atheists or humanists can appear to be leading a better life than certain professing Christians.

Actually brother I didn't read CV's comment. I was just trying to be humorous by giving you silly suggestions. IOW, none of my suggestions were really suggestions.
Phew! That is good, brother pilgrim. I thought you were going a little bit doo lally.

Okay brother, here are some things you might ponder.
Say you do something when you don’t do it.
Say you believe something when you don’t believe it.
Have more of a herd mentality than you currently have. Here is the definition that I am referring to: "the tendency for people's behavior or beliefs to conform to those of the group to which they belong".
Bro, are you describing CV? I am asking him what he thinks I ought to be doing or not doing according to his beliefs about the fake (or unfake, as the case may be) pandemic.

Cv, what are you suggesting I should be doing, that I am not already doing? Or are you suggesting I am doing something that I ought not be doing? Thank you.

BTW, I am not breaking any law in Wales.

[Another key aspect which the film exposes is the distortion of truth that social media and the internet enables. Fake news on Twitter spreads six times faster than the truth. Why is that? The film suggests that it is because falsehood sells. But that just begs the question, why does falsehood sell? Why do people prefer lies before truth? They have no answer, but the Bible does: "You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth." (Psalm 52:3)]

Psalms 52:3 KJV
(3)  Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness.

[The Truman show states: "We accept the reality of the world we have been presented with."]

[Indeed. That's why people are atheists! We are presented with lies by the father of lies and the mastermind of deception and darkness. The film talks about living in a world where no one believes that anything is true, where everything is part of a conspiracy. Indeed. That is the world without the One who is The Truth.]

Black Lives Matter is also an occult spiritist organisation. They believe in speaking to and hearing from the spirits of dead people. One of the international founders, and the chief of the Los Angeles branch were on a video discussing thus very practice. The whole thing is based on the Nigerian Yoruba spiritist religion. No Christian, pastors in SBC and other denominations please note, no Christian can have anything to do with this. This is necromancy, spiritual and is condemned by the Word of God. We “take the knee” or bow the knee to the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Amen Chris, and thanks for the extra information.

Yes John;
The Lord is taking good care of HIS appointed President.
I wish Donald was also in charge of Britain, he’s the best thing that has happened to politics for centuries.
Perhaps we could apply to America to become a colony and reverse history.
Politics is so much more fun with a Donald in charge.
God be with the President - And the Boris too!!
Have a very happy Monday.
The UK a colony, eh? Sounds like a good idea.

God bless the Baptists!

And Happy Monday to you too, bro!

Oh and God bless the Presbyterians!

Oh, and the IFB's!

Can you edit comments on a computer?
Hi Herbal Mama, yes you can edit as many times as you want during a time limit (about 10 minutes). You can also choose to delete the whole post during that time if you wish. After the time limit is up, you can do no more. Hope that helps.

Amen Quiet Brother. The world tries to form our minds so that we elevate one over another, especially the rich, the famous, the beautiful people, over the poor, the nobodies, the plain.

But Christianity turns most things upside down, and God hates the portrayals of the world, he says they stink. And so the world is our enemy, and Jesus Christ is our radical friend, who gives us a change of mind.

Yes there is a purpose, and it seems to me that you have sussed it out and are enjoying the providence, even when it becomes difficult and gets you down. Yes, the Lord does all things well.

I'm off to meeting shortly, to spend special time with our radical friend and with each other.

Later....

Wow, the Constitution sure has some clout for the church, eh? Say no more, lest the American brethren and sisters break out against taffy the former sassenach who is of course a citizen of New Jerusalem, having been taken out of the world of darkness.

"...Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization..."

Sure, it is important to get the whole context, or you can make black turn into white, and high into low, and cold into hot.

The Quiet Christian wrote:
Brother John, on children is where my ministry currently is focused. Someone is needed everywhere, and this is where the Lord has me at the present moment. He is a good and gracious Lord. It is a joy to be a part of His work no matter where that is. I know you feel the same, Brother, and pray your ministry continues well.
Quiet Brother, I just caught your post before turning in, and it has brought me much joy that currently the Lord is making use of you in that field. May you know ongoing joy as you work with the children; it is a very special mission field, especially today, as the world and the devil are influencing the little ones from a very early age these days. So may the Lord bless those children you are involved with, and bring them all to faith in Jesus while they are still very young.

I fully agree when you say, "It is a joy to be a part of His work no matter where that is." Absolutely! Praise his name. To serve him is a high calling; it will have high joys and low sadnesses, and continual warfare, both within and without. But I would not trade it for all the gold on the planet.

I don't believe that taking Holy Communion is necessary for salvation. I responded to the question by Frank by stating what Catholic teaching states what the spiritual negative is about being excommunicated from the Catholic Church. I don't believe that teaching. I believe there is no spiritual negative in being excommunicated from the Catholic Church.
Good progress, John. Thank you for the reply.

I think it was in the booklet by D. L. Moody where I read that if he had his whole life again, he would make ministry to children the main priority of his life. And I fully agree with him.

Wow!
I don't know exactly how God will handle this in His Divine Providenc and Sovereignty
BUT If it comes to it, think of the opportunity for prison ministry
Acts 16:25 KJV
(25)  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

Acts 16:27 KJV
(27)  And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

Acts 16:28-31 KJV
(28)  But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
(29)  Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
(30)  And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
(31)  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED, AND THY HOUSE.

Yes indeed, no problem. "The Lord is rich unto all that call upon him". cf. Romans 10:12-13.

I have not prayed for Donald Trump yet, and there is a very good reason for that. Maybe I will pray later; but there again I am not promising anything.

This is going to drag on unnecessarily.
I will say that when you jump in and affirm something, and later revise/clear it up, the point being made is lost. This is something I keep running up with you.
If you quote something I have actually written, and then comment on it, it is far better than speculating on what I believe, which it seems most people get wrong, simply because they prefer me to be wrong, and will use any means to show that, so that they can argue with me, which some people love to do, rather than seeking to edify and bless their fellows.

I do hope the above edifies you and blesses your heart and gives you a better way forward in debating the points made by other people.

If you think something I have written is incorrect, please quote me and show me where my error is (according to YOUR standard, and I accept that you have a standard), and I will answer you according to MY standard (and I hope you accept that I have a standard).

Example:

"when you jump in and affirm something, and later revise/clear it up" you said.

Show me where I did that, and I will believe you.

1. Are YOU the standard instead?

2. Watcher posts start with an absolute obedience to government, no exceptions. And you abet.

3. THAT IS AN ERROR!. The bible demonstrates both!

Good morning cv. I hope you are feeling content, happy and full of the Spirit. Now the answers to your questions and statements...

1. Certainly not! And I hope you can also say, "Certainly not!"

2. Incorrect, as the following post by myself shows: 10/3/2020 4.22AM

"The 'obey/disobey your government' is a big debate, and some parts of scripture say to obey, other parts to disobey in certain circumstances."

3. Quite so. And if you read all my posts, including the one above, you will see my position on that.

Thank you for showing an interest in my spiritual welfare. It is a very rare thing these days for Christian brethren and sisters to have a genuine concern for their fellows.

If you believe in the Lord's Day being Sunday without much biblical warrant, I wish you a good one, in which much love abounds, worship to the great God is true and genuine, and spiritual edification and growth is known and experienced.
