Rom 11:7-8 (7) What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. (8) (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day. |

JDGod always has a remnant. Scripture interprets Scripture, as we can see in John 12 39-40 why they (Israel a nation made up of people, Jews) could not believe, because God blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts nor could they understand with their heart. In Romans 11:7-8 We see that there was a remnant among the Jews that were elected by God and the rest of Israel(nation of people, Jews) were blinded by God. These portions of Scripture agree together in that the majority of Israel as a nation of people (Jews) were blinded by God and did not obtain that which they seeked for but that only a remnant of the Jews obtained mercy, grace, life, and righteousness in Christ. Joh 12:39-40 (39) Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again, (40) He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. |

JD “The argument could be strengthened even more, but that should suffice for now! Jesus draws all men unto himself!” and “All the time of Jesus earthly ministry to the Jews, the Father was drawing the Jews to Jesus as the Messiah of Israel”If Jesus draws all men (every man without exception) unto himself and the Father was drawing the Jews to Jesus as the Messiah of Israel why does it say in John 12:39 that they could not believe because God had blinded their eyes and hardened their heart? Joh 12:37-41 (37) But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet ***they believed not on him:*** (38) That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? (39) Therefore ***they could not believe,*** because that Isaiah said again, (40) ***He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.*** (41) These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. |

"Use of "Helkuo" in the New Testament"The words “Draw and Drew” in the verses below are the greek word “Helkuo” and is found 8 times in the New Testament. "Helkuo" means, literally, "to drag." Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me ***draw*** him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will ***draw*** all men unto me. Joh 18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword ***drew*** it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. Joh 21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to ***draw*** it for the multitude of fishes. Joh 21:11 Simon Peter went up, and ***drew*** the net to land full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. Act 16:19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and ***drew*** them into the marketplace unto the rulers, continued |

Yamil "Trying reading the context. It has nothing to do with salvation from hell (soteriological salvation) it has to do with the future judgement to come (eschatological salvation)."You think the verses below are speaking of the future judgement to come?? 2Th 2:13-17 (13) But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: (14) Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. (15) Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. (16) Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, (17) Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work. |

Seed Sower “…Yet he says in verse 12 that at any time they be converted... who is they obviously any who does not have the Spirit.”Mark 4:12 is not saying that at any time they may be converted, those who do not have the Spirit. It is a judgement from God a judicial blindness which Isaiah prophesied of in Isaiah 6:9,10. Isa 6:9-10 (9) And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. (10) Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. cont. |
