...Conservatives in particular should be leery of anything that increases federal power, since centralized government power is traditionally the enemy of conservative values. I agree with the assessment of former Congressman Bob Barr, who authored the Defense of Marriage Act:

"The very fact that the FMA [Federal Marriage Amendment] was introduced said that conservatives believed it was okay to amend the Constitution to take power from the states and give it to Washington. Dr. Paul is in favor of letting state legislatures decide social policy because federalism was established to allow decentralized, local decision-making. Ron Paul believes that marriage is first and foremost a religious matter, not a government matter. He does not think social problems can be solved by constitutional amendments or government edicts. Turning the regulation of domestic family relations over to the federal government means that presumably anything can be federalized.

In 1783 America won its independence from England, however its battle against the central bank concept and the corrupt greed filled men associated with it had just begun.

The central bank has a monopoly over the production of the currency for the entire country and they loan each dollar with immediate debt attached to it. From where does the money to pay for the debt come? It can only come from the central bank again, which means the central bank has to perpetually increase its money supply to cover the outstanding debt. Since that new money is loaned out at interest as well it creates even more debt.

The end result of this system with out fail is slavery, for it is impossible for the government and thus the public to ever come out of this self generated debt.

Revelation 1:3 tells us that we should read and keep the words of prophecy. Not only that, but you will be blessed for doing so! Blessed for looking into the events that herald the end of the world?

Luke 21:34-36 tells us that we should "take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Why will events preceding the end times catch people unawares? Because they did not take heed! They were not watching and praying that God would reveal it to them!

II Cor. 2:11 warns that we should not be ignorant of Satan's devices! Why? Because he will get of advantage of us! Strong's (4122) tells us that "advantage of us" means to defraud; while devices (3540) can be--mental perceptions, evil purposes, that which thinks! Satan wants to attack our critical thinking and perceptions so that he can defraud us! HOW? By getting us to worry and concentrate on little or insignificant news or events so that we don't use (defraud) our ability to pray, allowing God to work in events (I Peter 4:7). By twisting the language and wording of things around (Orwellian doublespeak) so that we actually endorse events that Satan orchestrates! By tricking Christians into thinking that their ungodly, unsaved government can do no harm or evil (Isa. 30:8-13, Jer. 25:28-33). By defrauding Christians of their responsibility for taking care of their families, by letting the government or even God take over their personal responsibility.

Faced with dwindling support of the Iraq War, the warhawks are redoubling their efforts. They imply we are in Iraq attacking those who attacked us, and yet this is not the case. As we know, Saddam Hussein, though not a particularly savory character, had nothing to do with 9/11. The neo-cons claim surrender should not be an option. In the same breath they claim we were attacked because of our freedoms. Why then, are they so anxious to surrender our freedoms with legislation like the Patriot Act, a repeal of our 4th amendment rights, executive orders, and presidential signing statements? With politicians like these, who needs terrorists? Do they think if we destroy our freedoms for the terrorists they will no longer have a reason to attack us? This seems the epitome of cowardice coming from those who claim a monopoly on patriotic courage.
