Too one-sided I enjoy listening to Bro Cooley on most subjects, but he seems to be so blinded by his own Baptist theology that it's almost to the point of thinking only Baptists will be in Heaven.
Those who hold to infant baptism in the reformed circles do not in any way believe it is for the salvation of the child. It is just a sign that the child will be brought up in the Christian faith, but in no way guarantees their salvation. The Roman Catholic false doctrine teaches salvation by works including baby baptism, but not the true Reformed doctrine.
I had never heard of this man before so am not familiar with any of his books. Thankfully. Why would someone who claims to be a Christian have good friends who are sodomites and lesbians in the first place? We are told in scripture not to have fellowship with evil. Yes, we can and should witness to them by all means, but by making friendships we de-sensitize ourselves to the evil they do. At that point we will most likely accept it. 1 Corinthians 5:11. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. Matthew Henry's commentary has much to say on this verse.
Great Sermon! Kathryn from Ohio:
I understand your concern about punishing women for abortion who are misinformed, but in this day and age with all the technology and especially recent videos about planned parenthood's selling of baby body parts, with pictures available of aborted babies, I seriously doubt if there are any women/teenagers out there who don't know what they're doing. They deserve the death penalty in my opinion as does the abortion doctor and nurses. They are all guilty of conspiracy to murder.
Yes, go kiss papa's ring and join the other two false religions, Judaism and Islam, for a pow-wow. In other words, a big bunch of hoopla that will end in nothing but a free trip paid for by we the people.
Mr Lincoln, the mother is not a victim except in the case of rape. And even then abortion is never right. Abortion is murder. The mother who takes her babies life should be put to death along with the co-conspirators.
Once again, Gay, your comment has nothing to do with the article. I praise God for Bro Washer's return home and pray he will soon be back to the work God has given him to do. I feel very sorry for you, Gay. You seem to be a most bitter person. As for the Reformation, try reading works by Luther, Calvin, Puritans, Bunyan, Whitefield, Spurgeon, and A. W. Pink as well as JC Ryle from 18 and 1900's. The Sovereignty of God by Pink and Foundations of the Faith by Ryle were both used in my life to help me understand Salvation is all of grace. Not anything in me. No matter how many times I've walked the aisle and repeated the sinners prayer and other such popery it is all for nothing if that's where my trust lies and not in Christ alone. May the Lord mercifully give you true peace through resting in Christ and true understanding of his holy word.
