In my last comment I mean that even though ny insurance covered some of my hospital birth cost they didn't cover all of it. The out of pocket amount I paid was MORE than the out of pocket amount I paid for all my pregnancy care (that includes post party care) with my midwife. Oh and the care can not be compared. Midwife wins. Excellent care.
Jim quoted: "women have been going into debt, declaring bankruptcy, ruining their lives; all to give birth."
Jim, you just need to quit. Right now. What utter foolishness!! Tell your buddy government to get out of the birthing business. It's not their job to play doctor. They have no authority to tell me where I can have MY baby, when I can have MY baby, or with who I choose to have deliver MY baby. How about you be pro-choice there! Your liberal mind has you decieved. Your blinded by the god of this world. It's cheaper, with insurance, to have a baby at a hospital? Are you kidding me?!?! My home birth with a private midwife that my insurance refused to cover was CHEAPER than my hospital birth with a doctor that my insurance did cover. There's reality for you Jim. Now than move along and keep your nose where it belongs and that's not IN MY INTIMATE TIME OF DELVIERING MY BABY!!!!!! Clinton is a recipe for disaster. She's declared war on God's people. How about you stop serving a political party and serve the God you profess to! Come on Jim. No one here buys your tripe.
Standardized testing means the focus of school is placed on making sure the students pass the test and not on education itself. Public schools fail miserably at educating. But that was never their purpose anyways. They've achieved what they sought after-indoctrincation. Most people my age are to worried about having perfect makeup, styling hair, matching socks, awesome selfies instead of being occupied with things that really matter. They are narcissistic and in turn they're unwise. Good job Alaska!
Didn't income tax and what not come around due to Karl Marx and his communist manifesto... ... it was flawed to start with. They're just doing what they already do, stealing.
Sc wrote: "lost people make foolish choices. I know I did..." But for the grace of God there go I. Thanks for the reminder. I made some stupid choices too. Still do at times.
I second JohnUk, Connor. It's not our place to convert. The Lord does that. We just need to be faithful in fulfilling the Great Commission. To quote John, "your labor is not in vain in the Lord. "
Thought I woukd add this before you try to smear my character, I'm not arguing for pot in the way you implied in your previous comments. Nor am I a closet pot head. I've never smoked the stuff.
I hesitate to enter the hemp argument. I did study it recently and it brought this thread to mind. Hemp (pot)when ate in a powder form is a great source of protein. It also makes good clothes and strong rope. It has no psychological effects in powder form. I believe this is due to when and how it's harvested. Memory fails me on that. Unfortunately it has been abused. People smoke it which does cause psychological effects. So should I be forbidden to make hemp protein bars because some smoke it and abuse the herb. Nien. According to Penny it also has cancer healing potentials. Idk about that but it wouldn't surprise me.
SC, I think you would do good to study fermentation and bacteria. There is good bacteria and bad bacteria aria. Once you understand those things then Paul advising Timothy to drink an alcholic beverage for his stomache will make complete sense. Let's talk about apple cider vinegar for a minute. It's made by sticking apple cores in a jar with a squirt of hiney and covering with water. About a week into the fermentation process this becomes hard cider...alcohol. The vinegar takes longer. Should we give up ACV because some use the process to make hard cider? No. TBC..
SC, because others disagree with you on this topic they're a bunch of apostates? That's what the scripture you quoted implies. For arguments sake, I'll share my own "wanting testimony". Before Christ I've drunk maybe three or four sips of alcohol and not all in one night. Since coversion my own personal choice has been to refrain from what I wasn't involved in much anyways. Yet, according to you, because I disagree with you, I'm an apostate. Sister, it's obvious you are the one who needs to refrain from judgement. I have been gracious and have hoped to see a change in you yet you constantly slander folks. You have no idea what grace is. You have no understanding as to how the Lord works in His own way in His own time. You think you sit on the throne and if any disagree with you they are hell bent. Because God has been longsuffering with me I'll continue to be with you. Lord willing youll realize we aren't your enemies.
Are you aware of how vanilla extract (or any extract for that matter) is made? By soaking a couple of vanilla beans in a bottle of vodka for a period of time. It's alcholic. I could choose to drink that and have vanilla vodka or use it for flavoring my cakes with a tsp here and there. Responsibility. Those who preach 100% abstinence better use imitation vanilla! Given this a poor argument my poiint still stands, responsibility is key.
The whole argument that Jesus couldn't have given the wedding party alcholic wine because the people might get drunk is the same argument the left uses to lobby for gun control. Responsibility is key. People will abuse it. If you don't want to drink that's fine . Personally, I don't. However, those that choose to in moderation are in no more sin than I am. There's health benefits to wine. OOC
US, thanks for sharing your story. It shows that God can use whatever He wants to accomplish His will. I'm glad the Lord led you here. And you too Christopher.
