HM, are we really â€œsaving lives?â€ Can it be scientifically and statistically proven that a single life has been saved as a result of the precautionary measures that have been taken this year? People who are careless get the virus, and most survive. People who cross every t and dot every i also get the virus, and some die. Some who are careful and some who are not never get infected. Some get infected but donâ€™t get sick. How do we â€œfollow the scienceâ€ when the science doesnâ€™t have any more answers than the man on the street? Curioser and curiouser, isnâ€™t it?

There are Independent Baptist churches all over Lubbock. I donâ€™t know why you donâ€™t obey II Corinthians 6:14-17 and come out of the SBC cesspool. Many of my ancestors are buried at Southern Baptist churches, and the churches now are just as dead as they are.

Jim, do you suppose mass incarceration could just possibly be a result of mass lawbreaking? Or that being poor may be a consequence of poor choices? Itâ€™s just something to think about sometime when youâ€™re not having other liberals doing your thinking for you.

I pray that a lot more â€œextremist Republicansâ€ get elected, Jim. Yes sir, Iâ€™m hoping for a whole flock of senators, representatives, justices, federal judges, and state and local officials who are:
â€”Extreme in carrying out their oath to defend and support the Constitution.
â€”Extreme in their loyalty to America and its form of government as a constitutional republic.
â€”Extreme in resisting attacks on and attempts to destroy freedom of speech and religion.
â€”Extreme in upholding free and fair elections.
â€”Extreme in protecting our borders from foreign invaders, and in permanently ridding ourselves of the invaders who are already here.
â€”Extreme in resisting socialist encroachment.
â€”Extreme in not only draining the swamp in Washington, but also in eliminating the administrative and professorial reptiles who are envenomating the minds of young people and turning them against their homeland.
God give us thousands upon thousands of such extremists!

I see your point, Ladybug. However, I still contend that God offers salvation to all who will accept it. Jesus said, â€œAnd ye will not come to me, that ye might have life,â€ not â€œYe CAN not come to me.â€ Now Iâ€™m not going to spend the day debating this topic. It has been hashed and rehashed more than enough. May God give understanding to ALL who are willing to receive itâ€”Proverbs 16:16 (by the way, you will see in this verse that getting understanding is a choice. People do make choices. God gave us that ability.).

God is not willing that any should perish, or die and go to hell. Thatâ€™s what the Word of God says, not the word of Tim. Do men die and go to hell? Of course they do. Therefore, they go there against the will of God (kinda knocks a hole in the man-made theory of â€œirresistible graceâ€, doesnâ€™t it?). God IS willing, on the other hand, that all men should come to repentance, should trust Jesus Christ as Savior. Again, thatâ€™s what the Good Book says. Do all trust Christ as Savior? Obviously not. They resist the Holy Ghost (Acts 7:51), defy the loving mercies of God, and in effect demand their own destruction TOTALLY CONTRARY TO THE WILL OF GOD. If people would read more of the Bible than they read ABOUT the Bible they might accidentally learn something once in a while.

Michael, there are a number of very learned scholars on this forum who have become so educated that rather than believing the scriptures, they attempt to explain that they really donâ€™t mean what they say. For instance, they will say that â€œthe whole worldâ€ in the above verse â€œreallyâ€ only means the whole world of the elect, or the whole world of gerbils, but not the whole world as in, well, you know, the whole WORLD. The foolishness will probably commence in 5...4...3...2...
