Like in South Africa, this sort of thing happens quite a bit here, especially with Aboriginies. If you see the latter asking for help or attempting to get you to stop your car you are nuts if you do. The thing to do is keep driving and if you feel it may have been a genuine call for help then contact the police and advise them. They have absolutely no scruples about stealing (or worse) from people that help them, found that myself.
People in todays media are so used to dealing with lies - day in day out - that the division between what is true and false becomes so blurred for them they are no longer able to distinguish.
Like Moslem clerics they are so used to hearing and telling lies that they start to believe their own propaganda. Pilate said "what is truth?" Well for the media truth is now what you make it.
He's right but he should also have admitted that 'purgatory' is not real and is a figment of Papish imagination designed to 'galvanise the RC faithful' into giving money.
Thus he is continuing in sin himself, so by his own definition the eternal fire awaits him, poor old chap.
Lance, interesting to note that far more people voted for the "fishing party" (they like to catch fish) and the "shooters party" (they like to shoot things) than voted for the "climate change coalition" (they watch Al-Gore films - using solar power of course - and fret all day).
I think Fred Nile has many good points although immigration is really a federal issue and the major federal parties are too socialistic and PC to do much good. But he didn't do too bad in the elections: http://vtr.elections.nsw.gov.au/statewide.aspx
No doubt I will be howled down here but frankly this political protest type action is not the example the apostles left us, as good as her intentions may be. Even more so the Phelps group, who have little children holding up anti-homo signs etc.
We are told to preach the gospel not stage anti-homo protests or the like.
Ephesians 5v3 "But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints"
Romans 16v19 "....but I wish you to be wise as to that which is good, and simple as to evil."
You were talking about power not liberation. Quite different things.
Several empires in the past have blitzed the USA for comparative power, and Mr Bush is a pipsqueak in personal power compared to the past rulers of these empires.
Don't get me wrong, there are very many great things about the USA but I was just pointing out the factual error in your original grand statement.
Kallie bush = outback, millions of square miles of it here.
"Bush as the leader of the most powerful nation that the world has ever known"
Well, the most powerful for a period of time but certainly not ever. I see they still don't teach Americans world history in school...... Check out Alexander the Great for starters.
Well the judge is correct, Islam certainly allows this. And under 'multiculturalism' the government considers all cultures to be equally valid and there is no obligation for immigrants to change or adopt the local culture.
So the judge is correct; she just had to choose which law to follow, civil or cultural. The government has created a conflict between western law and multiculturalism which officially recognizes the culture of the immigrant.
And beating is what Moslems do - if you invite them to live in your country & tell them to continue with their own 'culture' (pagan barbarism) then get used to it.
Probably the best book I have read on the subject is "If ye continue" by Guy Duty. It is a detailed and balanced study of the three different views, and of each of the biblical covenants but I think the book is out of print now.
