This whole sad affair reminds me of another sad case, perhaps even worse than that of Joshua Harris.

I have no desire to name the individual, and there is no profit in it. This man was a pastor of a well known evangelical church in my “younger” days, a teacher, writer and a university speaker at Christian unions, etc.

I think I may even have heard him speak live at some conference, in my student days, a long time ago!!

Suddenly, some years later, I was shocked to find that this individual had left his wife and his children, his home, his very shocked congregation, taken up with a male staffer, and thrown himself into the “Christian” LGBT apostate movement, though, unlike Joshua Harris, it was not a friendly divorce, and this man, still claimed to be an evangelical Christian. I was stunned to read an article he wrote defending his position.

His books were eventually pulled from the shelves, and his magazine columns removed and terminated.

Thankfully his new temporary career as an “LGBT” apologist seems to have been short lived, as he seemed to dive into obscurity and I have not heard of him in more recent years. I have to look at men like this and say, at the end of it, “but for the grace of God, go I”. We must examine ourselves daily, and reflect that God’s work o

New Zealand, the tragic country, fell over itself to affirm and declare Islam as almost the state religion, after the most unfortunate mosque killings there recently, perpetrated not by a white supremacist “Christian nationalist” as portrayed by the Leftist and secularist media, but actually by a man who turned out to be a Leftist himself.

Now this country, led by its Socialist Prime Minister, now goes on to the next step, abortion on demand, right up to birth. The Canaanite religion is about to be added to Islam, as the preferred state religion of New Zealand.

The true evangelical Christians of New Zealand must stand up and be counted, and oppose this, but they will now be entering a period of persecution; they must not accept these laws, and must stand against them.

One additional comment, it was indeed very tragic to see Joshua Harris, a US American, marching in this Canadian “Gay Pride” parade, sporting a t shirt of “British LGBTQ” Pride. I have had the unfortunate experience as a British person to see all of these sorts of things in my own country over the last month or so, and watching as our politicians of all political parties, combined with liberal clergy and prominent public people from all walks of life falling over themselves to affirm this lifestyle, and displaying their signs of support and curtailed 6-colour rainbow flags, (God’s Covenant rainbow given to Noah actually has 7 colours), everywhere.

I notice 6 is the number of man, while 7 is the number of God's perfection, and this movement has even polluted that. May the Lord help us as Christians to be salt and light in this evil world, and I do pray for our pastors and Christian leaders, if they are truly evangelical, to stay true to the Lord Jesus Christ and His most precious Word, the Holy Scriptures, the Bible in these perilous times.

This is a terrible spiritual tragedy for this man, his now estranged and divorced wife, and those three children, who will now not be brought up in the fear and nurture of the Lord, but as secular children, and no doubt, pro-LGBT.

It is also sad for his former church, of which he was the pastor, his former congregation, and the many folks that read and were influenced by his now discarded books.

I agree with Carol and with Wayfarer Pilgrim, and feel that this is indeed a prelude to him announcing his “coming out of the closet” as actively LGBTQ etc., himself, maybe with a “partner”. I would be most surprised if this is not the case.

As to his salvation, I would think that in all likeness, he was not really ever truly saved, but trusted in his formulas, a kind of a works “salvation”. This does not invalidate the idea of sexual purity within marriage, but merely proves that he walked away from it. The only Person who can truly save us is the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are saved unto good works, not by them. We must all examine ourselves frequently to see if we are indeed in the faith!!

Many years ago, at the height of this “political correctness”, Abu Hamza, who is now enjoying lifelong confinement in a US supermax prison, for terrorism, actually ran the Finsbury Park Mosque in London, and when he was finally expelled from it, he held prayer sessions for a huge number of Muslims outside, haranguing the government and police, preaching hate, and Islamic supremacy, blocking the streets round about, while the police looked on and did absolutely nothing.

It was only after a lot of pressure, particularly from the US, that our government finally and somewhat reluctantly arrested Hamza, and despite every obstruction by his lawyers, finally deported him to the US for justice.

Yet, the police will think nothing of harassing and arresting a humble Christian street preacher of the gospel. Thankfully, we have got some sensible people on our magistrates benches, and a number of these cases have been thrown out by the magistrates when they have come to court. In this case our brother did not go to court as there was pressure on the Home Secretary at the time to force the police to apologise and compensate this brother for his treatment by the police.

Praise God for this award by the police to this faithful African gospel preacher.

The sight of two white police officers accusing a black preacher of being “racist”, is surely very ironic.

This faithful man was preaching the gospel outside the suburban Southgate Underground Station (the tube; subway to you in the US), on the Piccadilly Line in North London.

He was not being contentious, but preaching from the Bible the necessity of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Apparently a local Muslim took great exception to this, and started waving his prayer beads about, and got right in the preacher’s face, before complaining to the police.

Actually he should have been arrested, not the preacher. I think subsequently the police had no option but to release our faithful brother, but did so in the most inconvenient way, by taking him a long distance away, and releasing him to find his own way back by public transport. People here are fed up of “political correctness”, and yes a Muslim preacher, would not have been arrested.

is now in hiding for fear of his life, and other bishops and cardinals who have supported him, have been sidelined and set aside by Pope Francis.

Meanwhile a whole new set of younger senior priests, bishops, archbishops, and cardinals, well below 70 yrs old, (when bishops must resign their dioceses), and 80 yrs old, (when cardinals are no longer allowed to vote in Papal Election Conclaves, though they keep the title of Cardinal), are being groomed up by the Leftist, globalist, environmentalist, interfaith and pro-LGBT establishment to take over senior positions in the RCC, leading to more cover ups, and to the embracing of nominally Catholic leftist politicians , as well as non-Catholic politicians, who will implement these types of policies in their countries.

Many Traditionalist lay Catholics are up in arms, but are being squeezed out by their own church, as may I say, traditional evangelical Protestants are being squeezed out by some of their professed evangelical denominations.

The Traditionalist Catholics are absolutely fed up. Before his disgrace and finally enforced laicisation and dismissal as a Cardinal, and his now enforced confinement in an unnamed monastery somewhere in the rural USA for the rest of his days as a kind of retired lay brother, the peadophile LGBT Cardinal John McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington, DC, before his original resignation of that office, (all RC bishops are required to resign their dioceses at 70 years of age, though they keep the title bishop), who also had a beach house where he stayed with young seminarians, actually coached and prepared his successor, Donald Wuerl. .

This man continued the liberal policies of his predecessor, even contrary to Catholic doctrine, with a modernist and pro LGBT stance, and cover ups of paedophile priests, and on his resignation, also due to the age rule, he had personally coached up his successor, Wilton Gregory, already established as a pro-LGBT and doctrinal liberal in his previous diocese of Atlanta, I believe.

Pope Francis, the Jesuit, has personally presided over this transition process, and things are so bad, that the Catholic Traditionalist Archbishop Vigano, a former Papal Nuncio or Ambassador to the US, who rather bravely exposed this “pro-LGBT Episcopal Mafia”, is now i

In some of the Reformed churches with more solid theology that I have attended over the years, it is black Christians that have been at the heart of the church, and have been the most faithful in prayer, evangelism, and in these more doctrinal churches, they have been the ones most dedicated and zealous for biblical, solid doctrine.

To get back to places like Baltimore, or certain parts of London, it is the truly evangelical church that is the real answer to the problems of these places, not time serving corrupt politicians, black or white, who have their own politically correct secular agendas. Only the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit can transform hearts and lives of black and white people, and make them new creations in Christ Jesus.

I speak carefully as a white man, but who has a great respect for hard working, godly black Christians.

I actually attended some meetings of a convention of a Black Pentecostal Church here in Britain some years ago, and was very heartened at the hospitality and kindness of the people. They did their own catering, and apparently all the visiting delegates were housed at the homes of the local brothers and sisters, not in hotels. Unlike some black denominations, this group did not emphasise money, and collections were not even taken during the services.

A different black church, who also had their annual convention, in the city I was living in, and who hired the local city concert hall, there was a good speaker, an elderly minister, who very firmly exhorted his community, to educate their children properly, the men of the community to be responsible, not to take handouts, and to be proper families in the church.

I may struggle with the theology of some these churches, but it is often the black Christians who are at the heart of evangelism and prayer in their communities.

if God breaks His promises to the Jews and literal Israel, why are we so arrogant as to think He will not break His promises to us in the church? No, God is not a liar, and He will keep His promises to us, and to the Jews and literal Israel.

Yes, the opium wars were very discreditable, and not the best story in British imperial history.

However, God overruled for many years in Hong Kong as refugees from China in both the Japanese occupation and then from Mao’s Communist China were able to go there.

As for the Balfour Declaration, that was good not bad, and in accordance with Bible prophecy, but unfortunately subsequently during her mandate in Israel from 1917 to 1948, Britain actually reneged on the deal to reestablish Israel as a sovereign nation, gave over 75% of the land to the Arabs, and at the end of their time, when Jews had been fleeing Nazi persecution, forbad them to come to the land, interned them, deported them to places like Cyprus, Mauritius, and even back to the same concentration camps in Germany and Europe that they had fled from, though now reconstituted by the victorious Allies as refugee camps.

I believe God judged us by stripping us of our empire straight after World War 2. I am aware, sadly, that many good solid evangelical readers and listeners of SA believe firmly in Replacement Rheology, have no future for Israel or the literal Jews, and some are quite eager and happy to see a sharia Islamic Republic of Palestine set up instead. This is iniquitous, and if God breaks His promise to l

My school Latin is a little rusty, but the name of this nefarious Priest’s defence organisation means ironically “Good Works of Priests”!!!

Doesn’t sound very much like good works to me, to hide paedophiles, and other clerical criminals, and support them in their flight from or in their encounter with justice.

While alert to the fact that occasionally there can be false accusations made, there seems far too many priests and accusations for them all to be false!!

It reminds me of the “”Rat Trail” of notorious ex-Nazi party leaders, SS guards, Gestapo police chiefs and other war criminals to get them out of Germany and other European countries where they were wanted for trial after the 2nd World War, to safe havens and secret refuges, generally in places like South America. The infamous Dr Mengele of the Auschwitz camp was one of these, he was never tried for his crimes and he died in Brazil.

I hope this paedophile supporters organisation has now been completely exposed, and that federal, state and local prosecutors and police will immediately investigate it and root out the priests that they are hiding, or helping.

I found a fascinating scripture from Zephaniah chapter 3 and verse 9, part of a prophecy of the spiritual restoration of literal Israel and the Jewish people, and something that defies this liberal Jewish professor of Hebrew, that he cannot succeed in perverting the Hebrew language, and that God will have His way, with the Jewish people.

It says, “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one consent”, and in verses 12 and 13 it says, “12. I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. 13. The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.”

In the same chapter, the prophet Zephaniah, inspired by the Holy Spirit, commands Israel to sing and shout and rejoice in the LORD their God, that God has taken away the evil from them, that the King (their true Messiah, Yeshua Ha’Maschiach - the Lord Jesus Christ), is in the midst of them, and that the LORD will rejoice over them with singing.

I have found a set of three sermons by Jeff Riddle of Christ Reformed Church (Reformed Baptist), in Virginia, which uses the KJV, on the ending of Mark’s Gospel here on SA, and I shall listen with great interest to see what he makes of this subject, in light of those who espouse the modern versions and deny the canonicity of this passage.

To revert to the original and proper subject of this thread, one must remember that as well as the Orthodox, Ultra-Orthodox, Conservative (US), and Reform (UK), Jews, and also the atheistical secular Jews, there is a smaller (in UK), and rather larger (in USA), movement of semi-religious Jews, known as Reform (USA), and Liberal Progressive (UK), who like modern liberal mainstream Protestant denominations, deny the Bible, Christian biblical morality, and I suspect this Jewish professor in Colorado is probably one of these.

I have listened to and watched some programmes from a Traditionalist Catholic organisation called Church Militant, which actually has exposed a lot of what is going on, and it does indeed go right up to the top, including cardinals, archbishops, bishops, senior clergy, monastics, as well as the normal parish clergy.

In one diocese, the bishop is still protecting one priest who is still in charge of a large parish, and at one point was in charge of priestly vocations in the diocese, though he did reluctantly resign, that responsibility, when some things came to light.

In this case, the man apparently molested adults, rather than children, and had an alcohol problem, as well as being LGBT.

I believe little has changed in this area of morality, since the days of Martin Luther and the great Protestant Reformers who exposed this kind of wickedness, as well as the abuse of indulgences, and the sale of church offices, etc.

Traditional Catholics are deserting the official Roman Catholic Church of Pope Francis in droves. Right there in Kansas, the breakaway Tridentine Society of St Pius X, which has a large church and school, is constructing a huge basilica, which I read about recently to accommodate the thousands of Traditional Catholics in the region who are fed up with Pope Francis and his globalist, interfaith, environmentalist, social gospel (social justice), pro-LGBT shenanigans.

It is tragic that they are not being converted by the gospel of grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, actually coming into gospel evangelical churches, but sadly, unfortunately many professing evangelical churches, are getting into the same irreverence, pro-LGBT, environmentalist, social justice and globalist nonsense of Pope Francis that they are fleeing from, to go into their breakaway SSPX Traditionalist Catholic Church.

This judge needs to examine carefully what she said. What about the “ongoing and imminent irreparable harm” to the unborn child in the womb, all because he / she has Down’s Syndrome, he / she is otherwise disabled, otherwise he / she is the wrong sex, or simply because he / she is inconvenient and might affect the mother’s career or having fun.

Truly the ultimate in Canaanite worship of Baal, Astarte, Chemosh, Molech and so on. In those days little infants were sacrificed to those devilish gods to get fertility for the crops, combined with ritual prostitution, now it is on the altar of convenience. What about the human rights of the little children? The wicked liberal judge seems to have forgotten that completely, contrary to your US Constitution and Bill of Rights, the will of the people of Arkansas State, as well as the Word of God.

Tragically, I have seen this terrible ignorance first hand. I was present when a church elder of a really good evangelistic church, which had a very good statement of faith, but regrettably used the old version of the NIV, that you can’t get now, complained that they now had to order the newer “gender neutral” version of the NIV, to replace their older worn bibles, as they could no longer get the out of print older version!!

Things are not helped by even very solid godly teachers and preachers. One whose newsletter and blog I get, and who generally I really respect, sadly in his latest blog, took the “new modern Bible” position that the last verses of Mark’s gospel are not in the “most reliable and ancient manuscripts” and are therefore not really therefore part of the Bible.! This is most sad.

I guess this suited his cessationist view on spiritual gifts, but actually one of my own previous pastors, who is also a cessationist, has actually written a booklet, defending the KJV text of these last verses of Mark’s Gospel.

By the way Westcott and Hort’s / Nestle Aland liberal Bible text also cuts out the great evangelistic passage in John’s Gospel of the woman caught in adultery. Why are Bible evangelicals defending liberal Bible positions?

Apparently, there are, I think just 3 show churches in the capital, Pyongyang, which are very occasionally and rarely visited by tourists for propaganda purposes, and probably don’t even have regular services. I think that there is 1Protestant church, 1 Roman Catholic, and I have definitely read of an interesting Russian Orthodox Church, partly under protection from the Russians, but staffed entirely by Korean priests and using a Korean liturgy!!

Otherwise, as far as I understand, every expression of religion, other than the state commanded one of virtual worship of the Leader, and his late father and grandfather, is totally banned, and subject to severe punishment.
