Dr - I have a friend who has never had a single vaccination and he is fit as a fiddle in his 80's. But he has always lived fairly isolated on a farm, never even gotten married or left the country. If you read the passage again you will see that Paul is saying they have no such custom as *contention*. That is those that contend against headcoverings - Paul and the church would have nothing to do with such. Just exactly the opposite to what you claim. Think about it.

There was no time before God created it as detailed in Genesis, so there were no 'years' in eternity past. Neither will there be when he takes time away. The bible uses words like 'ages' because we cannot humanly grasp eternity, having lived in a sphere where time is so dominant all our lives and all human history.
Thus we have unbelievers suffering in hell for eternity - there is no future for them, only the present. Therefore it makes no difference if you imagine them suffering in hell for 5 seconds of our present earthly time or for eternity.
