The 'church services in the synagogues' were a little dead.

Perhaps because the church is as welcome in a synagogue as pork pies at a Jewish wedding?

Or perhaps because there was no church at that time - hmmm, that might have something to do with it too!

But I think Squirrel was only gagging.

Oh and as others have said, Sabbath = Saturday. Always has, always will.

You crack me up Squirrel!

"Also, it was the custom of Jesus Christ to attend church services at the synagogue on the sabbath day:"

Funny one..... trying to see if anyone is awake?

And you have personally witnessed this?

"On a daily basis, Jews murder dozens of Arabs"

Tell us what you saw, Percy.

Not being a tad contentious perhaps Mark?

Maybe you should simmer down a little; have a beer or something!

Those that are saved will judge the Angels, we are told. Clearly this isn't going to work well if the Angels observed that same person openly and wilfully disregarding biblical commandments throughout their own lives.

Of course it is only those that do the will of the Father that will be saved (Mat 7v21) as saving faith is always accompanies by obedience.

Sounds like fun! .....be careful though, the 'Pacific' name is somewhat of an oxymoron at times, you probably already know this more than the rest of us though.

This is your politically correct way of claiming "John speaks crud".

And John would say "Victor babbles".

End of story!

Granikov, the trial and execution of the three Christian men you refer to was widely reported as a sham at the time & it seems very likely the main accusations against them were false.

There is absolutely not a shred of justification for killing these girls. The only motivation is that Islamic fundamentalists are led by Satan.

Ray, believers and their infants - or more specifically their households.

And done using water.

Personally I think fresh water is best as it doesn't sting the eyes like salt water. Maybe that could be another survey topic....

Tim, does it worry you equally that Hizballah also used cluster bombs in Lebanon? And that they deliberately fired many shrapnel laden missiles into civillian areas? Or do you feel that the Israeli bombs are inherently worse?

BTW if there are so many unexploded ones it doesn't say much for the manufacturing quality.

If you babble (+ laugh, howl, roar whatever) without knowing what you are saying how do you know that you are not blaspheming the Holy Ghost yourself?

1Co 14v19 "but in the assembly I desire to speak five words with my understanding, that I may instruct others also, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue."

Five intelligible words are worth more than 10,000 unintelligible? Wow, that means your 'tongues' are less than 0.05% useful uninterpreted.

No wonder most babies give up babbling when they are about 2.

Neil I agree with you that the notion of "if we can only convince people of these facts they will then believe" is wrong. Like you I am not convinced that a dinosaur museum will be more effective than their current voluminous written information.

I tend to disagree with them on some points relating to age too however I feel that anything that challenges others faith in evolution is good and anything that could lead to someone examining scripture is also good. So I support them in this. I think if anyone genuinly desires to know the truth - and not just for mere mental satisfaction - God will lead that person to the truth by the Holy Spirit.

I suspect many of the professors here are on dope or something stronger given their daft left wing rantings. Just recycled hippies from the 70's.

Neil - wow, isn't that shameful that churches should be associated with that! Many here are largely just an entertainment venue...

We didn't find a church in the SFO / SJC area to visit when there last month; don't know where John from SJC goes?

Art: "I'm a Calvinist, covenantal, Presbyterian, Amillennialist"

Ahh - the Bible talks about them.... somewhere?
