Everybody, are we talking about the birth of Christ or Santa’s Christmas, here? Luke 2:11 says nothing about Christmas or Santa. It says nothing about the Grinch or the tree. It says nothing about green, red, blue, and white lights hanging from the porch. It says nothing about the children being naughty or nice. It says nothing about the reindeer, sleigh bells, chimneys, or stockings. It says nothing about the candy canes, toy soldiers, or gingerbread men. It says nothing about the Christmas spirit that fills men’s hearts with greed, materialism, and drunkenness. It says nothing about dreaming of a white Christmas. Please do not mix your traditions with the truth of God’s Word. Yes, Jesus’ birthday is extremely vital and important. No one should say that His birthday is not important. It is important! It’s huge! But I would like you to know that it wasn’t on Christmas Day nor is it associated with Yuletide or the winter solstice. There’s a European tradition of drinking to the health of the fruit trees and dancing around a large bonfire. I forget the name. That is not related to Christ’s birth either. Christmas as Christmas is just as good as Halloween. Besides, Halloween means “holy evening”. We could say that Halloween is all about the birth of Christ. It wouldn’t make it true, |

In 1968, Vatican 2 counsel indicated that having same sex attraction was not a sin. Acting on these were a problem. But if a priest confessed to these feelings, he was permitted to continue as long as he did not act on them. But gradually in catholic seminaries an overwhelming amount of faculty were pro homosexual. Homosexual priests couldn’t act out as adults, but younger people was easier to hide.”I agree, Wayfarer; and many of today’s “evangelicals” are following suit. As the roaches crawl out of the dark closets and show their true “colors”, we should all be comforted to remember that there’s a shelf-life for the perverts—and a vindication of the righteous at the Final Judgement! Come, Lord Jesus! |

Eternal life is not a thing of Republican or Democrat, it’s a thing of a filthy sinner crying out to the Holy God for mercy and forgiveness! Our God is a consuming fire! Jesus took that punishment instead of us! Anyone who repents and puts their trust in Jesus Christ will be given free, eternal life! And those who truly love God will want to please Him with their lives. Like Quiet Christian said, “right” and “wrong” are not things we came up with. And when believers love, obey, and serve our Savior, we want to do it God’s way, in His timing, and for His glory! Because He is the one who (uninvited, unexpected, and unwanted) picked us out, reached down into our messed up world and rescued us from our own perverse confusion and brazen rebellion. He gave life to the dead. It’s His plan, His program, His agenda—it’s His! And therefore He gets all the glory! |
