Worth a read:“A Brand Snatched From The Fire” Costi Hinn is Benny Hinn’s nephew ... 'how he has now embraced the sovereignty of God in salvation and is a cessationist believing that God heals when He sovereignly chooses to do so but that no one possesses the gift of healing. He is passionate about the Truth and is unafraid to call out his uncle as a false teacher and false prophet' http://pulpitandpen.org/2017/02/24/a-brand-snatched-from-the-fire-justin-peters-speaks-with-costi-hinn/ |

http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?sid=22172155509Why This Topic, Why Now? (Lecture 1 of 4, Rev. Todd Ruddell) The Pope is Antichrist Sadly very few know why the Church held to 'The Pope is Antichrist' and what 'anti' means in Scripture and denounce this position with no study or understanding of how important it is. If we don't know why the church held this position e.g. The Westminster Confession; The 39 ARTICLES; 1689 Baptist Confession, and Ryle, Spurgeon, Whitefield etc. then the above 4 lectures are very clear and may I say convincing. I am not interested in debate, only interested that we all understand why this position is still maintained today by many Christians with scriptural conviction. Have a study of the above and consider WHAT WE REALLY NEED TO BE WARNING ... 'It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name. If there were to be issued a hue and cry for Antichrist, we should certainly take up this church on suspicion, and it would certainly not be let loose again, for it so exactly answers the description." C H Spurgeon |

A comforting word of hope and blessing! A very beneficial blessing. Having heard this sermon last Lord’s Day the Lord, in His good pleasure, has providentially brought before me this past week a host of devotional scripture dealing with deliverance from ‘prison’ and to continue to hope and trust Him, for deliverance is on its way!
A Christian should never be a prisoner of despair in doubting castle, not when he knows that the Lord will provide the key of escape. Rev Thackway proves that we are to be “prisoners of hope”, even when the Lord God has shut us up-bound and confined-when we can do nothing else but hope in God, it is the Lord that is our warder and who is with us even when our present circumstances can appear to be a shut prison, with no human escape. ‘Hope thou in God’ Ps 42.5, for there is a time of deliverance-the Lord’s appointed time.. Ps 34: 4-6 ‘I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears...This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.’
‘Joy cometh in the morning’.. Ps 146.5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God!!! A blessed sermon 'in the day of trouble'. |

‘Helped and Benefitted in MY Troubles’ Thank you for such a providential blessing re: God sending our trials and our troubles and His Sovereignty and care as He superintends those trials and gives grace.
I had been contemplating comments by Spurgeon ‘ Morning’ February 18 and 19th and the Daily Remebrancer for the 19th and then also the TBS calendar chapter for today Psalm 102, so you can appreciate that this sermon was a great encourager. The Psalms also gave encouragement to pray for deliverance from troubles as v2 'Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily': and 102: 1,2 and 17 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily... He will regard the prayer of the destitute,and not despise their prayer.
"Trials make the promise sweet;
Trials give new life to prayer;
Trials bring me to his feet,
Lay me low, and keep me there."
"Prayer makes the darken'd cloud withdraw;
Prayer climbs the ladder Jacob saw;
Gives exercise to faith and love;
Brings every blessing from above."
Psalms 34:17,19 - [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles...Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of the |

Sadly there were 2 football supporters on the plane from my area travelling to New Zealand to watch their idols NUFC play a friendly game, one nicknamed ‘the undertaker’ who never expected to be ushered into eternity on that flight. Reading the report it is amazing that a steward changed flights at the last minute so he could work on Flight MH17 and therefore lost his life, whilst his wife had swapped off the doomed and missing Flight MH370 and her life was therefore spared. A British couple got it right as they providentially escaped: ‘There must have been somebody watching over us’: British family cheated death on MH17 by being bumped off flight when they arrived at check-in’ If God is indeed watching over us and keeps the earth spinning in the heavens, can a meteorite fall from the sky and land on my head just by chance? Were those on the plane unlucky and those who were providentialy spared at the very last minute just very lucky indeed?
