Dear John UK,

When the Last Supper was instituted at the Passover before His crucifixion, our Lord blessed both bread and wine, and distributed them to His disciples.

In the early Church both elements were shared at communion, but the Western Catholic Church, which developed the doctrines of transubstantiation and priestly ministry, soon denied the cup to the laity, bread only on the tongue, and the priest taking both bread and drinking the cup. The Eastern Orthodox and Eastern rite Catholic Churches developed the practice of giving small cubes of bread, intincted with wine from a cup on a spoon directly on to the tongue, for the laity.

At the Reformation, all Protestant Churches restored fully communion in both kinds to the laity, the Anglicans and Lutherans retaining a common cup, while later on the Reformed and other Protestant churches generally using individual mini cups, though some of these churches now, get communicants to retain their cup and drink all at the same time. Some non- liturgical churches like the Brethren, I believe do also use a common cup. Perhaps these churches may now revert to individual mini cups, because of this virus, though I do prefer a common cup in normal circumstances.

The Church of England and other Anglican churches in other countries have albeit temporarily adopted a Traditional pre-Vatican 2 Roman Catholic practice of celebrating communion with the laity receiving the bread only, and presumably the priest only drinking the cup of wine.

Roman Catholics can do this because they believe that the bread and wine both become the “Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity” of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to avoid the laity spilling the Lord Jesus Christ on the ground, as they aver, only the priest drinks the wine at the mass, I.e., transubstantiation.

This is not what happened in Protestant churches at the Reformation. Both bread and wine were distributed to all communicants. The communion is not a sacrifice and the presiding minister is not a priest. The Church of England should not fall in line with this. Communion should be in both kinds, except that it may have to consider temporarily adopting the practice of the Free Churches, in setting aside the common cup, (which I prefer), and using separate mini cups, even of a disposable nature if necessary, as otherwise it is not a full Biblical communion.

I firmly believe that this virus was man made, as there is a well known microbiological laboratory in Wuhan, probably for nefarious research purposes. Maybe one of the people working there was careless, and having unwittingly infected himself, went down to the “wet market” and sparked off this infection.

One can be sure that the Communist Chinese authorities are not going to reveal anything about this, and the “wet market”, which has of course now been totally demolished is a useful explanation for them. I suspect that the original infected person died very quickly, of the disease, but if not, would now doubtless have been quietly executed!!

Why do the churches, I mean the true evangelical churches, not protest and stand out against these things?

Fair enough, because of the Coronavirus, it is not wise for large crowds to gather, but even if there was no Coronavirus, there would have been no protest on the streets.

In any case, there is a deafening silence from the evangelical churches. I wonder if there will be a proper turn out of the evangelical citizens of Minneapolis at the next Mayoral and City Council elections to get this high priest of Baal, Astarte, Chemosh or Molech (demonic pagan Canaanite false gods whose worship demanded child sacrifice and ritual temple prostitution) and his cohorts, the City Councillors, out of office.

Personally he may be an atheist, or hold to some sort of pseudo liberal Judeo-Christianity that denies the Bible, and has gone against the Word of God, but actually this wicked man and his councillors have embraced the false gospel of death, and worship of the modern god of convenience and sexual immorality.

The Netherlands is a tragic example of what happens when a country abandons its Judeo-Christian moorings, and embraces liberalism, secularism and pseudo-Christianity.

In the 16th century the Netherlands fought and won against Catholic Spain and the Inquisition, to establish its independence, and large Reformed churches preached the Gospel of Grace powerfully and sent out missionaries.

Sadly, the Netherlands embraced evolution and German rationalism in the 19th century, and though invaded and occupied by Hitler and Nazi Germany during the 2nd World War, it has ended up embracing the very things that Hitler stood for, abortion, removal of disabled people, euthanasia, and of course, the Netherlands has embraced the LGBTQ and Transgender revolutions, as well as legal prostitution and open pot smoking.

The once packed large churches are tragically now silent on all these issues, and in many cases, no doubt, actually go along with them. If you tune into You Tube, you can still hear psalms sung by large Dutch congregations accompanied by the organ, but I suspect that many of these churches no longer preach the Bible or the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. How sad!!!

This wicked medical paediatric doctor, now a state governor, who has signed this law, who would kill babies inside, and even outside the womb, if they survive the attempt to kill them, has now added this wickedness to his achievements, and though he may presumably claim to be an atheist, or a liberal non-Bible believing Protestant or Catholic, (I do not know what religious affiliation he claims), is by his actions actually a very skilful high priest of one of the many Canaanite false gods that are denounced in the Bible, and involved worship with child sacrifice and ritual prostitution!! I appeal to the voters of his state, to get him out of office, and the legislators that support him, as soon as possible, and overturn this wickedness.

Bans like these will lead to the following:-

1). Children who have suffered child abuse in their trauma unable to receive appropriate counselling when they are confused about their sexuality or conception sex.

2). Children being abused by medics, teachers and social workers of the state, and sometimes by wicked culpable parents, into having medically abusive therapies their bodies cannot take, having their puberty suppressed, being given opposite sex hormones, and finally having state licensed surgery (nay, butchery), to have perfectly healthy body parts removed, and grotesque plastic surgery to attach useless body parts that are totally non-functional, or in the case of those with same sex desires, being pushed into a very unhealthy promiscuous lifestyle at an early age.

3). Criminalisation of all concerned conscientious professionals, and even good parents, who aim to oppose these wicked practices.

4). Mass sterilisation of all children who are in this position, and exposure with no remedy permitted to mental illness, suicide, heart trouble, strokes, organic diseases and cancer.

5). Suppression of religious freedom, and even of any non-religious opposition to these vile and wicked practices. This wicked medical doctor, who would kill infants both inside, but ev

Only yesterday, I looked at a conservative evangelical Christian news website, and discovered the following news items, taken not from “liberal mainline Protestant churches”, (you know, the sort that denied the Bible years ago, practising the social gospel, and are into every kind of apostate activity imaginable), but professing evangelical churches.

One was of a large and active church, that had a very well known member, a happily heterosexually married man, who led a well known addiction and counselling ministry. His wife died, and now after a few years, he has suddenly apostatised, and come out as “gay”, and “married” a man, whom he said God had given him!!

Another was of an Assemblies of God church, where after a series of questionable sermons preached by the pastor, and a lesbian couple approaching him and being welcomed into the church, the elders turned the church into an open LGBTQ affirming church!! The AOG, to its credit, threw the church out of its denomination immediately.

Another interesting thing. When I was a young boy, in total ignorance, I went to one or two traditional Christmas pantomimes. This was a slightly satirical play with musical numbers, a small orchestra and a little bit of singing, but mostly humorous drama, based round a fairy tale, very popular in Britain in the 1960’s, and still popular today, in Britain and elsewhere, but always there were traditionally two transvestite characters. There was the “principal boy”, usually played by a young woman, dressed up in a boy’s or young man’s costume, but also there would be a “dame”, basically a drag queen, usually a somewhat large man, with a wig, bold makeup and an elaborate frock or dress. In those days, I and no doubt the other children present thought nothing of it, and usually apart from some slightly suggestive jokes, there was not the blatant sexuality that the modern drag queens would exercise. However, I now believe it was the thin end of the wedge, and buttered people up to accept what is going on now, and if I personally had children now, I would not even allow them anywhere near a pantomime let alone “drag queen story hour” in a library, theatre or for that matter school. It is all part of the same blatant rebellion against God.

Perhaps every believer needs to read or sing Psalm 91, as this referred to plagues not coming nigh our dwelling, while of course taking appropriate precautions as necessary.

Perhaps instead of going down the Tridentine Traditional Catholic route, with regard to communion in one kind, the bread only for the people, with only the celebrant or presiding minister, partaking of the wine, perhaps those Protestant Evangelical churches that use the common cup, (which I actually prefer), may need to temporarily borrow the Free Church practice of using separate mini cups for communion, but drink the wine at the same time, as instructed by the minister.

Interestingly, certain dictatorial regimes may indeed use the Coronovirus as an excuse for permanently banning all religious gatherings, particularly the country where this all started!!! We will see.

I am not able to judge the interior spiritual state of certain contributors to this site except to say that tragically certain folks from a northern state of the US want to get rid not only of a duly and democratically elected president of your country in favour of a left wing socialist immoral regime, that is absolutely guaranteed to persecute true Christians, but also those who may be perceived to support him.

As for Franklin Graham, he is merely and rightfully suing secular venues with whom he signed a contract and for which a deposit was paid, that have deliberately gone back on their legal contract and discriminated against him for his religious stand. Will these same stadiums act the same if the Muslims, or even the JWs had a rally or convention. I think not.

By the way, if the LGBTQ crowd can successfully suppress the meetings of someone like Franklin Graham, what chance has a local pastor or preacher got, in a much smaller venue or even a rented school hall. This is what they want: to completely silence all who speak against their perverse lifestyle.

I certainly agree with the brother who very clearly pointed out the inappropriateness and wickedness concerning a 9 year old boy, “coming out” as “gay”, and being paraded on a public platform by a homosexual political candidate at one of his campaign rallies.

Children of this age are not even yet entering puberty, certainly not boys, and should indeed be concentrating on toys, sports, play activities, school activities, climbing of trees, exploring the house and garden, and doing simple chores and activities with their parents and siblings; sex and sexual activities should be nowhere at this age. I would even be alarmed if they were considering heterosexual activities, how much more the perversities of same sex relations.

As for the mindless chanting of the crowd “Love is love”, this is typical of a religious cult, and shows the wickedness of those adults who exploit this for their own nefarious purposes. Besides this boy presumably has a father and a mother!! Where are they? They are highly culpable. We must pray for this boy and others like him who are being polluted and corrupted at an early age. May the Lord indeed rescue them and save them.

Since writing my last comment, I have remembered 2 spiritual aspects which may explain why this peaceful country has gone in such a secular and anti-Christian direction. The cantonal Reformed Protestant churches went liberal a long time ago, and it was in this climate that Geneva, the former home of John Calvin’s Reformed Protestant Reformation, where the UN placed its European HQ, (though neutral Switzerland is not actually a member), but more importantly, the ultra-liberal leftist ecumenical World Council of Churches placed its world HQ there.

However, much more recently, the brand new Gotthard Rail Tunnel opened a few years ago. I have travelled through the old tunnel which links France and Germany through Switzerland, with Italy, and has no controversy.

This new tunnel, much longer, more high speed, was opened with much fanfare and with world leaders present. The ceremony was very strange and can only be described as quite satanic and very weird. It was highly new age and pagan, and I believe you can still see YouTube videos of this strange ceremony. It shows how badly things have gone.

Yes, the citizen Militia type Army is very well known. There is a tiny number of professional soldiers, I believe, but most of the Swiss Army is made up of these citizen militia type members, who must keep their rifle at home!! Switzerland being a neutral country, the Army is purely for internal defence purposes, and is therefore there is no foreign service as far as I am aware. There is also a tiny Air Force too, and some Customs boats on the one or two lakes that form frontiers with other countries.

As to immigration, I think Switzerland is very strict, and potential immigrants have to have money and jobs I think, there may be limits on them owning property etc., and though there are foreign communities in the big cities, they tend to be wealthy people. Some temporary semi-skilled Labour is imported , but generally, as far as I am aware, under strict conditions. It is also, I believe, very difficult for a foreigner to naturalise and become a citizen of Switzerland.

Switzerland is a very interesting, delightful, beautiful and unusual country, which I visited on a number of occasions, during the year and a half I worked in Northern Italy.

It has 4 languages in different areas, German for the major part, French as the 2nd largest, Italian in one and a half cantons, and Romansch, a Latin based local language in corners of just one canton.

It has moderately large cities, Zurich, Geneva, Basel/Basle, Berne, Luzern, a number of very small cities, towns, picturesque villages and whole country areas, as well as the mountains and lakes.

Religiously, half of Switzerland embraced the Reformed branch of the Protestant Reformation, while the rest stayed with Roman Catholicism.

Governmentally, Switzerland is a truly federal state, even more so than the United States, with the cantons, being very autonomous from the federal government.

Tragically, however, while the Catholic part, mainly rural seems to have remained fairly conservative, the Protestant part has become exceedingly liberal, and lost its moorings completely. This is very sad indeed. Maybe there needs to be another referendum specifically about religious freedom. I’m not sure how that would go!!!

I have great sympathies with Gay M Allen in Wisconsin, and actually believe in the death penalty for murder, child rape, and other such egregious offences.

Unfortunately, the whole of Europe, and many other countries in the Western World abandoned their death penalty, many years ago.

However, at the very least, prison sentences for the above crime should really be for full life, or failing that a very long time with no remission for good behaviour, and in the case of any release, extremely rigorous and strict conditions and restrictions in force in their fividual concerned.

One does get very tired of liberal judges, politicians and even religious ministers, who come out with platitudes, and allow these individuals unfettered access to children and vulnerable adults.

Many of these characters tragically are very devious and cunning people and know every trick in the book!! May the Lord give us great wisdom in these matters, and protection for individuals and churches.

We, and I also speak to myself here, must not forgot to pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in North Korea, as well as in other places, where there is persecution of the Christian church.

China itself is a very difficult place, but it has the only readily accessible land frontier with North Korea, the only other one between North and South Korea being effectively sealed off.

North Korean Christians and others who escape into China face terrible deprivations, being kidnapped and forced into illegal labour, both in the sex trade, or in other professions, or sold off as a wife to a Chinese man, and they have no recourse to any complaint or health or other services, as the Communist Chinese will just seize them and hand them over at the North Korean border to the horrific vengeance of the North Korean authorities. The only other solution is a dangerous trek to Mongolia, or an even longer trek, through to Vietnam, and then Thailand, where they can go to the South Korean Embassy for automatic asylum and citizenship and a flight there.

As for the individual concerned, though he can repent, and be forgiven by God, he must accept that in this life are consequences for sin, and he should go quietly into the background, and accept the limitations that will be placed upon him for the rest of his life, and the automatic disqualification for pastorate or church leadership that are Biblical requirements. It does mean that churches he attends regularly may have to be made aware of his record. Protection of children and vulnerable adults must be paramount.

It would have been a lot more difficult, though not completely impossible, for this to have happened in this manner in Britain.

Anyone doing any kind of sensitive job in Britain, which may mean access to children or vulnerable adults at any level, and thus would include pastors, etc., must, by law, undergo a full enhanced DBS check, before they can be taken on. This checks not only whether they have a criminal record, but also whether they have a “barring” order, which is basically a legal document which bars anyone convicted of sexual offences, etc., from access to children or vulnerable adults. Offenders of the sexual nature have to sign a sex offenders register, and are subject to numerous restrictions, like not being able to teach children, or be involved with activities which are aimed at children, like camps, etc., and generally not even being able to be in a room alone with children.

It is tragic that there was no such law in this particular state, and that such a background check was not done. Churches sometimes are very naive, The Bible tells us that the enemy goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, and also that he would deceive the elect if it were possible. I pray for the recovery of the work and witness if this church, and its members. As for

As to the Benedict XVI and Francis I situation, I have grave suspicions that a cabal if leftist cardinals, supported by secular globalist authorities, engineered and pressured the resignation of Benedict XVI who was not willing to go along with their agenda, and secured the election of their favoured candidate, Francis I, who is globalist, socialist, interfaith, environmentalist and very liberal to the core.

I believe that he is a false prophet, definitely, but laying the ground for one of his successors, who will be a “miracle worker”, perhaps out of the Catholic Charismatic Movement, to be the False Prophet, who supports the Antichrist in the Great Tribukatjon.
