John, the average believer in the UK holds to two infallible bibles, the traditional bible and the British Broadcast Corporation and co bible. To the later, they render faithful service *every day* by sitting themselves without a miss in front of their screens for at least half an hour of daily dutiful view-moulding. What they are told is law, it cannot be questioned.
So they hold to both bibles hand in hand, trying to square them, and if any is wrong is not the later.
Blind belief can err when acting as this. Hence, often people, being so well predisposed, miss the obvious, fail to question gaps, innacuracies, contradictions, and manupulative strategies.Please, try a media fast, and stay away from the news screen for a month. You will be back with a different outlook. While politicians and the media know they hold the people's unvariable attention through the screen, there is no limit to manipulation, because there is no alternative source of 'news'. |

When you consider that guvs all over the world are on a severe economic downturn because of their attempts to fight C19 through lockdowns and isolation etc. then the figure of over 500k deaths becomes meaningful. Imagine what that figure would have been if guvs had ignored the coronavirus. 500 million? A billion? Those are personal speculations based not on knowledge, but derived from all the given propaganda that withholds and often twicks real facts. |

Ladies, surely affinities and likeness of trail of thought are sustained often with John on my part, yet of late, obtuse reasoning on his part has brought in incongruent thinking patterns for which commendation was not possible.
No one knows what a person is going through while posting here. Some sort of sickness, in more that one way, might underline or exist.However and definitively, ladies, if one does not have an encouraging way to uplift, correct or direct, is better to hold on to one's peace, rather than to fire off to a member for whom Christ died. |

John brings a freshness of spirit to the forum, but by no means he is endued with perfect understanding about all things, as no one of us is, in spite of our preferences, convictions or stern opinions, only God is. Yet, we have heard of the deaths of a drug addict and another two persons who died of pneumonia as being recorded as Covid deaths to the disgust of those related |

You really believe that a doctor is going to falsify (and break the law) by putting down an untruth concerning death?
Man, where did you dig that one up from? You Tube? Statistics can be manipulated.
Also, is not that doctors are breaking the law, but that they are instructed by given protocols on how to act.
For instance, when a person has been admited into hospital and eventually dies of other causes, if the patient had tested positive for Covid, then the person has to be counted as dying from Covid even the individual died from other coexistent comorbidities.
This is not fair count or play, John. |

John, you used to be able to read accurately other people's takes, or at least took great pains to understand them to your uttermost, however, presently you are assuming things not intended or said, misreading, and misrepresenting.There has been enough said to figure out the sense, meaning and intend of my position, but you are constantly twisting the argument, ignoring facts and reason to trumpet yourself as the only champion for Scripture. Frankly, your last statement borders insult out of presumption. All mentioned was to illustrate intend, however, you turned it into unfounded attacks. Your take that Scripture does not permit memorials because it does not strictly 'command' them, is a child of the regulative principle. If not commanded, it becomes indifferent when it does not affront other specific commands. Christ's main memorial is visualised by bread and the cup, and was visualised before by the blood on the Egyptian doors.
Ensigns matter when based on reality and checked by sound theology. And all started because your statement about the Geneva memorial was checked against.
And now you end accusing me of standing for something else than the Word of God! ?!?! This is a total offence, and makes enough reason to terminate dialogue.

Have you ever gazed upon a drawing of the person of Spurgeon?
Watch out in case you are in danger of iconography!Have you ever visited the Martyr's Memorial complex?
Have you seen where are the historical props situated? Do you know how much Geneva steemed the Reformation?
Their citizens subscribed to a monument to the work of God, the Reformation, by portraying the different Reformers. 300 years after that event Reformation symphonies were written in its commemoration... Let's not forget his works and we will tell them to the generation to come by all means. |
