leviticus:1 Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. So are we literally drinking the new testement, when we take the Lord Suppers, as well? How about: 1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. How do you drink a cup? Does he mean literally drink the cup? Look at John 6:35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." Aee you ever literally, physically thirsty? Of course you are. |

Cindy: According to I Cor. 7 you are exactly right. The path you chose is one I nearly did myself, yet I do not regret my choice. (I specifically fell under verse 9, largely, I believe, based on being brought up in this whorish american culture that I was). I commend you for your stance and give a big for those who can follow after Paul in that area. For, even though marriage and children are a great thing and I am very blessed in my current standing, an honest married Christian cannot deny that: 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction. My wife is my help meet yet we oft are distracted in pleasing one another! |

The question was where does the priest get the authoirty to consecrate (change) the bread and wine. ALS: do catholics pray to the wafer? honestly? |

johnboyare you even aware of what Paul is speaking of being judged about? Doubtful He is speaking of being judged about the mysteries of God (that would be the dark hidden things being spoken of, you can find the connection in verse 1 in a KJV, i don't know if you can in whatever perversion you are using). I will make a bold statement here. It will also make manifest the counsels of the heart, the intentions of the heart. There are doubtless many Christians who really want to serve the Lord and do something for him, they are just stupid. We have all done some stupid thing we thought would bring Glory to God which is just as wicked as hell. Maybe that is the case here. That doesn't make it right, thats just how it is. Agreed? Second part: verses on drinking Note: All references are from the KJV Holy Bible. I know not what other perversions say. I did not include the verses as the number of character allowed to be posted would not hold them. Pr 31:4 in reference to Re 1:6 Pro. 23:29-31 Isa 5:22-23 Ro. 14:21 is likely the best verse. It says to not drink so as not to be a stumbling block. Truth be known. You will find verses to support your drinking and I will have verses to condemn it. Hows that for honesty!?! |

johnny, i figured you would have to come bail your wife out. First, you eeither drink or you don't, its pretty simple. I am glad she leads people to the Lord. I wish more would, just not while promoting sin. you know what johnboy, Ive never criticized Christ for him healing on the sabbath, so let us not jump to conclusions. I am of the mind that whatever Christ did was right, regardless of what I feel or think. Furthermore, I am not overlooking the sick (lost), I just will not promote sinning as a way of converting the lost. This reminds me so much of a conversation I had with a 19 year olf some 6-7 ago. He had a friend with a ministry quite similar to this, where the friend would go and smoke pot with his buddies while witnessing to them. Johnnyboy, quote me where I say Im perfect... You won't find it. Son, suddenly you have become the accuser of the brethren. You also say that God hates judging. Show me where. "No wonder you don't get people saved" ... False accuser "As Jesus said "you make them twice the son of hell that you are yourself." [Christ to Pharisees]" ... False accuser. To be against judging you are quite judgemental there johnnyboy. |

katy:don't get so worked up! looks like someone is kicking your golden calf, or at least stepping on your toes. luther is obviously dead, in case you missed that note. maybe he drank beer, maybe not (likely, he did, just based on the fact that he was german). The matter at hand is the article present, not a dead man. Do I care about lost souls? Of course I do, but honestly, not as much as I should. Yet I know that there is a hell, and I know people are going there, and I know it is my duty to witness to them, which I do. Since you seem to be consumed about the dying lost who are going to hell everyday, why are you wasting your time on here, defending beer? Since YOU care so much, get off the internet and go get to work. |
