Sc wrote: " I haven't known one Christian, male or female, who have not become more carnal in their walk after compromise. All it takes is watching games like football".....personally have seen this. Im not sure how one can think they can walk with the world and not be affected. Our flesh is weak.

It is obvious, at least once in each game the cheerleaders are shown (the teams that have one). That's one time to many. Do you really expect me to believe that every single christian man looks away or doesnt stumble? Nien!!! And do we really expect our daughters to dress modestly when we put harlots before their eyes? That is now the standard not scripture. Again
ask the same questions in regards to the reporters. Is hair that is stiff from beig sprayed by hairspray modest? Is their makeup modest? Leta move onto the men...camera focused on them when they fix their jock straps, tight pants....do you not expect christian women to stumble? Lets move onto the pride that each player has. Are we not called to be humble and put others before ourselves? What about the idolatry? Reading about it, watchig it, talking about it, being more devoted to it then God. Some brothers here have already admitted to that problem.

There's a difference between going out back and playing a game of football with the family and watching a bunch of immodest men (tight pants and there's the whole camera focused on them when they're fixing their jock straps) chase each other around, slap each other on the rear (very sodomitish), being cheered on by naked women, and having an occultic half time show.....SC how dare you touch their sacred cow!!!!

This was an interesting read. It would be best to abstain from the bread and circus idolatry of sports altogether not just on the Lords day but I see his point and am glad he took a stand for it.....like he said don't mess with Americans and their idolatry, I mean sports.

Search Abigail Miller on youtube..that's edfiying music. Christian rock n roll? No such thing. You can't "christianize" what isn't holy.....with that logic we could have christian bars, christians harlots, christian witchcraft, etc.

Patterened socks "
Many women simply 'love the world' and follow worldly fashions, hence they wear leggings that look like women's tights. Would they have gone out in just their tights 5 years ago?

But it is the fashion!

Methinks that is the problem with some 'Christian' women, the fashion magazine and worldly TV and media is their guide, not their Bible, or chaste and godly church members who are probably elderly ladies in their own church!"

Methinks, you're right. I'd also add that many haven't really counted the cost nor what it means to deny self, pick up the cross, and follow Jesus. I have my own personal stories that stengthen my convictions. There's a difference in the way I'm treated (compared to my pants day) and I've noticed a lot of people will just be convicted by my dress alone...justifying themselves when no word was said. The way we dress does matter.

" he continued. “The federal government should not be injecting itself into decisions best made between women, their families, and their doctors.â€Â ..."

The only time this is applied is when you're killing your baby.....hence the amish family that went into hiding.

Pants for women didnt become the "norm" until after world war 2. It was at the same time that women started working outside the home. It's a feminist movement. Basically saying that there's no difference between genders though there is (ever notice bathroom signs though that line is gettig blurred). The saying "who wears the pants in the relationship" takes on a whole different meaning if done biblically. And I can do pretty much everything in my skirt that I did in pants-hike, run, ride fourwheelers(a great time to have leggings on). The only thing I can think of that I cant do is dribble a ball between my legs...but do I really need to do that?

Cody wrote: " Its alright for a lady to wear pants as long as she doesn't put them on so that men will look at her "
Negative. Pants draw attention to a woman's figure. Deut. 22:5 also applies. If you look up the word breeches n the KJV you'll see that it appears 5times, each time a man is being talked about.

Leggings are a part of mine and my girls wardrobe but they're an undergarment. They add warmth and modesty ex: little.girls that tumble around.

The Father imposed His wrath due unto, and the Son underwent punishment for, either: 1. All the sins of all men.
2. All the sins of some men, or
3. Some of the sins of all men.
In which case it may be said:
a. That if the last be true, all men have some sins to answer for, and so none are saved.
b. That if the second be true, then Christ, in their stead suffered for all the sins of all the elect.in the whole world, AND THIS IS THE TRUTH. c. But if the first be the case, why are not all men free from the punishment due unto their sins? You answer, Because of unbelief. I ask, Is this unbelief a sin, or is it not? If it be, then Christ suffered the punishment due unto it, or He did not. If He did, why must that hinder them more than their other sins for which He died? If He did not, He did not die for all their sins! - John Owen

More or less rambling I suppose US. Just a topic that brought to mind another topic.
Anyways, I am curious how many of these single mothers are single mothers in a biblical way (ex: the husband passed away) and how many are single due to feminsim. There are work at home jobs. Im done rambling..

Why Mike aren't you aware that you're not capable of being in control of your own body?!?! If you refuse to do as they say they'll legally force you to and the media will brainwash people into applauding the government...nice :/

In a rare instant where the radio was on I heard a bunch of women griping about not being treated fairly at their workplace because they're women and then a pastor, more like a hireling, started preaching to these women about being content in their current job. Know what he didn't preach? The bible. He should of told the women to pack it up and go home...and as Dorcas husband says "bake some cookies". Reading this article brings to mind conversations I've had on women staying home (which is Biblical and what the Bible teaches!!!) And for whatever reason professing christians choose to justify women working instead of sticking with Scripture. Talk about frustrating. Working outside the home tends to make women the bread winner and gives them the attitude of "Ms Independamt" and "Dont need a man". Feminism. Quit justiying it.

From the article: " (the longest known/confirmed lifespan was 122 years)."

Not so. Here's one of many known/comfirmed lifespans that go well beyond 122 Genesis 5:8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

Cheerleaders, violence, man in tights, the game is on sunday-there's more but this alone should cause christians to run the other way. when you flirt with the world and are entertained as they are it's not long before you're full of compromise and no one can tell you apart. Dorcas, excellent sermon
