Moderator Alpha wrote: Thank you and special thanks to those who have expressed support for the Sermon Audio policies and our determination to enforce them for the enjoyment of all who visit this site. Thank you. I think more than the same three who continually break them with their ad hominems would appreciate them if they were not so open-ended. |

Alan H wrote: What about context, Yamil? I guess you forgot to apply it here. You seem to be pretty selective in what you read. "I for one would like to support wholeheartedly the comments made by Moderator Alpha." I read the context and the funny thing is that "you are a slow learner indeed" still reads "you are a slow learner indeed."Personally, I agree with the moderator. That does not mean that what he states is not an ad hominem. But if Calvinists' theology is inconsistent with their practice, then I would think that their open ended rules would be equally as inconsistent. I agree with Walt as well. Unfortunately, I can't remember the last time, he responded to one of my posts without an ad hominem. The difference between I and those of your camp is that I do not whine about it. If you would spent as much time on developing a strong exegetical case for your position as you do at finding ways to censor the opposition, I would think that these debates would be much more profitable. You all know that I am game for a honest discussion. But as has been proven time and time again, that is not what you are interested in. And that's the way the cookie crumbles. |

The only thing that that proves is that there have always existed those that believe that tongue speaking is biblical.I doubt anyone would deny that, just like other false religions have existed. Funny how you quickly switch from trying to discover what God states to some off the wall quotation that proves absolutely nothing. I am sure we all here can find someone that would agree with our theological bias. It does not take a rocket scientist to do that. Now tell me speaking of what God stating what he means and picking a verse that actually deals with the argument, what part of " whether there be tongues, they shall cease" do you find so hard to understand from I Corinthians 13:8? |

Actually your funky experiences can be just as easily attributed to too much pepperoni pizza the Saturday night before. But as previously demonstrated, you care not for what God states, for you had elevated your experiences above God's holy Word. It's called existentialism: If I experienced it; it is true. If I did not experience it; it is therefore not true. It's the foundation to Pentecostalism if you care to study its history. The best experience the child of God can have is knowing God's will and doing it. |

Concerning Abigail and Walt:There is nothing more fruitless than to have two people with opposing perspectives who both absolutely refuse to allow God to mean what he states and state what he means. It's like an Indian trying to communicate with an Asian and each insisting that the other submit to his opinion. Seriously folks, that should be a crime. I have good news for both of you: You are both wrong and I am right. Submit to that fact and all your woes will be gone. Trust me: it will be quick and painless. |
