Which one? Influenza, this season. Look it up.
Fear is indeed a terrible thing. One wonders why it is being promoted by your media friends. It might help them in their never ending quest to get rid of Trump, but it doesn't help sick people get well. Not that they care.
Considering the amount of trash being taught in public schools, I fail to see how homeschooling the children would have setback for them. Might even be good for them. After all, we are incessantly told we should distance ourselves from viruses.
The Quiet Christian wrote: Absolutely right, Mike. Suppress the truth. Most I heard was in a distainful tone, stating that it was from a NC-based Christian ministry run by the son of Billy Graham. Apparently this set up in Central Park is the same as that hospital in Italy. Nasty situation in NY, especially in and around NYC. Praying you and yours aren't in the midst of that, Brother.
No, but thanks, QC. We do have some cases in our area, but I am farther from NYC than Washington DC is. Mt. Cuomo likes to apply rules evenly across the State. There has been nonsensical talk of travel limitations for NYS, NJ, and Connecticut, (CDC has issued travel advisory) so as to keep it behind State lines I guess. Viruses apparently respect State lines. Like I said, Washington is closer to NYC than my address is, is just an ignored reality, one of the irrational responses to this whole thing.

He didn't waste any time last month telling people to go and support restaurants and bars, and to the Chinese New Year celebration, when he was already aware of the virus. Now he wants people to lock it up. Unless you want to fly out of the city, and bring "I Love New York" to other cities. That's "essential"
The Quiet Christian wrote: A little more detail on Samaritan's Purse. What is particularly interesting is that many news outlets refuse to name the ministry. https://world.wng.org/2020/03/help_in_the_covid_19_epicenter
Well QC, how else can the politicians take credit, and the name of Jesus be suppressed? btw, Samaritan's Purse has also built a good sized field hospital in Italy.
Jim Lincoln wrote: It appears that the Governors are going to have to do a lot more work, and not depend on the federal government. Many people are beginning to notice that. For example: "Andrew Cuomo’s Popularity Hits 7-Year High, Virus Response Wins Massive Support "87% of New Yorkers approve of his handling of the coronavirus crisis, including an overwhelming majority of Republicans" https://tinyurl.com/sp2nh7o
The Siena College poll quoted says 71%, not 87%. The 87% is "the public" meaning who knows what, if anything? You have to understand, Cuomo is running for president. Most New Yorkers not jammed in the gigantic sardine can of New York City can see through Mr. Cuomo. He isn't in the news daily for information dispensing, but to be seen. He loves taking credit for the work of others. He just wants to do for Nebraska what he has done for NY. Drive people and businesses away with his taxes and replacing local political control with State. With Joe Biden's flimsy efforts, Cuomo sees an opportunity.
The only reason this lunatic wants family removed from existence, is to make loyalty to the Communist state, not your family, the priority. All the slick verbiage is deception. The devil has ever been seeking to destroy that which God has created.
Jim Lincoln wrote: Mike, keep your location secret You might be swamped with people from New York City âť— You just might think there isn't very many coronavirus cases where you live, considering the inadequate testing in this country, there's probably a whole lot more thanyou think there is
We have a few. Not enough to house arrest everyone, though. But the governor sees the whole State as his fiefdom, so we're all in this together apart. There is more flu of course but like I said, flu is so last week. The lefties are sure hoping for more panicvid-19
"Rachel Laser, the president and CEO of the nonprofit advocacy group Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, said the governors are misinterpreting restrictions on impeding religious expression. She says the Constitution actually requires religious and secular institutions be treated the same.
"The Constitution not only permits it, but demands it," she said in a statement. "Such restrictions do not violate religious freedom; they ensure religious freedom is not misused in ways that risk people’s lives."
She is clueless, wrong on all accounts. And being she's chief mouthpiece for a group that is always trying to shut down religious expression, it is in no way surprising that she's taking advantage of a disease to promote her perversion.
Isn't it notable that these anti-religious groups calling for "separation of church and state" always call for the state to step in and deny separation of church and state by making rules superseding it?

Closet dictators are always looking for a reason to come out. We have an entire party here doing just that. And doing whatever is necessary to free themselves from the irritating chains that liberty holds them with. In the name of the public welfare of course. This same DeBlasio just last month was telling New Yorkers if they weren't sick, to go out and have a good time. To go to the Chinese New Year celebration. Now he wants to close synagogues? But he's showing leadership in these trying times blah blah. When will people wake up? Has he closed the airports yet? Maybe it's easier to spread things farther and faster by air than by synagogue.
Jim Lincoln wrote: --- Mike, are you suggesting that everybody in New York City should burst out and start singing, "Don't worry and be happy"
Jim are you saying fear is not being promoted? Are you more afraid of covid-19 than you are of the flu? Was there a run on paper products when it was discovered more than 20000 have died from flu this season? Were schools closed from it, though flu kills the young as well as the old?
Here's a question for you, Jim. We're more or less shut down. We can't do much of anything or go anywhere, if it isn't "essential." Most of the virus is located in New York City, and surround. Yet you can still fly in and out of there. Any theories as to why of all things it is allowed?
